Allow cataloguers to choose which names are linked to authority files
Allow cataloguers to choose which names are linked to authority files
This is important because the all on or off automatic linking creates links for unqualified names and catalogers want the option to verify and thus link names in the way it is done in connexion.
This when the authority data is updated - every record attached to it is improved and unqualified or non-established names do not get affected.

Hey, man! Giving cataloguers the freedom to choose which names are linked sounds like a groovy idea—it’s all about keeping things organized in a way that makes sense. If you’re into some fun after all that, check out this https://aviatorgambl.ing/review/mostbet-casino/ Stay cool and keep things flowing!

It would be great if I could just uniformly say "don't link unqualified names" rather than having them link and then have to manually review each one to add a differentiating qualifier .... Or even "don't link headings for records that have a certain brief level". Lots of different options could be helpful to prevent erroneous links and thus PTC flips.

It would be good to have some input from NACO partners on this problem. What are the possible solutions and technical possibilities? What about linked data developments.
At EPUG-UKI this week we had a fantastic presentation by Xiaoli Li who gave an overview of LOD in Alma. The Ex Libris products are ahead of the game in developing the systems to harvest and use the data. If we work with the Company can we move forward?
