Alma should work on Mac Safari
Currently, the Mac OS Safari browser is not supported for Alma (https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Alma/Product_Documentation/010Alma_Online_Help_(English)/010Getting_Started/050Alma_User_Interface_–_General_Information/010Browser_Requirements)
Furthermore, until the February 2018 release, Safari has successfully worked in Alma without problem, going back at least until late 2014. However, with the February 2018 release, you now get the endless spinning blue line when loading several pages, such as the User search results screen.
Safari is supported by Primo: https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Primo/Product_Documentation/New_Primo_User_Interface/010Frequently_Asked_Questions#Browser_and_Device_Support
Safari is supported in SalesForce: https://help.salesforce.com/articleView?id=getstart_browser_aloha.htm&type=5
While Safari has a small market share, it is the default web browser for Macintosh computers, which are heavily used in education. To be unable to use Safari for Alma means those users are forced to add a second web browser just for using Alma.
Using Alma in Mac Safari should work as well as using it in Mac Chrome or Windows IE/Chrome.

Safari certification for Alma is planned as part of our roadmap, currently scheduled for the 2nd half of 2021. See here for details: https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Alma/Product_Materials/010Roadmap/Alma_Roadmap_-_July_2021/User_Experience_and_Accessibility#Safari_Certification

We use iPads extensively in our archives because it's so much easier to bring the circulation desk to the cartload of stuff the person is using than to bring the cartload to circ. It's been working so well for them. I'm disappointed this is broken when it really is a major browser.

According to an admittedly quick search, Safari appears to be the second most used browser.
