Retain the List Of Items filters after an item edit
We would like the filter settings (for Status, Location or Library) to be maintained when an Alma user edits an item from the List Of Items and then saves that change.
This is because many of the titles our staff members tend to work with in List Of Items frequently comprise core texts, of which we may have several dozen copies in various places and at a number of different statuses. It is therefore very time-consuming for staff to have to re-apply their settings for every transaction.
The following is typical of the workflow during which our staff encounter the issue raised:
1) The staff member performs a repository search for a title with many items, finds the bibliographic record, and then clicks on the Items link,
2) The List of Items reveals items at a variety of statuses. The Status filter is changed to Item Not In Place,
3) Actions > Edit is selected for one of the not in place items in order to add a fulfilment note,
4) The staff member saves the fulfilment note,
5) Alma returns the staff member to the List of Items, but items of all statuses are now showing again, rather than just those with a status of Item Not In Place.
In short, the filter setting is not being maintained until such time as the staff member is ready either to replace it with another setting, or else to leave the List of Items completely. We would very much like that it was.

Hello Asaf,
This has never worked correctly on the classic UI, hence the initial raising of a support case (q.v. #00353361) as far back as October 2016 and the eventual decision to repurpose the issue as an Idean on the Idea Exchange once that support case stagnated at Pending Work Plan status.
I have tested the same workflow on the new UI this morning and I am happy to confirm that the filters are kept for me as well. An earlier fix on both UIs in succession would obviously have been more greatly appreciated, but it’s nevertheless pleasing that something we feared had been kicked into the long grass has actually proved fixable relatively early on in the new UI’s lifespan.
Hopefully that augurs well for other such issues we have necessarily converted into Idea Exchange ideas!
Cheers,
Jeremy

This seems to be behaving correctly (i.e. the filters are kept when navigating) in the new UI. Can you please confirm?
