Configure Alma New UI to Work on Smartphones (Devices Smaller than Tablet)
Due to the browser requirements, Alma New UI will not work on a device smaller than a tablet:
"Minimum required resolution is 1024x768 (1280*800 recommended)."
This is a bummer, as I know many of us often need to access Alma from a smartphone. The Current UI is terrible from a phone, but at least it is possible. That is one of the main reasons I was excited about New UI.
Please configure Alma New UI to work on smartphones (devices smaller than tablet).
Thanks,
Blake

Alma has a special application with functionality aim to address the needs: https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Alma/Product_Documentation/010Alma_Online_Help_(English)/110Mobility/Introduction_to_Alma_Mobile
Alma web application is based on pages displaying a large amount of data which is not suitable for small devices.

I don't agree, but will remove my votes.

I would say that there have been great improvements in this area. However, drop-down menus still do not work in a horizontal orientation, but this can usually be mitigated by switching back to vertical orientation. And then back to horizontal orientation.

Hi,
Alma does not work in a horizontal configuration on an iPhone. There are no navigation options for the top bar and the search facet has several "null" displays. It would be really helpful to have this functionality, as the old UI worked fine.

Hi,
The menu issue you mentioned is planned to be handled in the coming release.
I suggest if you encounter additional issues to use the regular route for receiving support. For example the drop down. These issues are related to the responsiveness ability and are across different type of devices.
Thank you for your feedback.

Hello,
That is not my experience. In my testing on Google Pixel, Android 7.1.2, Chrome 60.0.3112.107, horizontal orientation:
1) the Main Menu Navigation Bar of Persistent Menu is missing, and
2) the drop-down/lookup menus of the Monitor Jobs area do not work.https://www.screencast.com/t/zdfBUC3Gk4p
Also, I filed case #00464880 (Main Menu Navigation Bar of Persistent Menu Missing on Mobile Phone), and was told that this is expected behavior.
Thanks,

Alma can work on mobile. The recommended way is to use it horizontal position. The resolution you mentioned are relevant for PC.
