Create Analytics field for self check loans and returns
Currently to identify self check stats for loans and returns in Analytics you either need to do one of the following:
- Create separate Circulation Desks for self checks
- If the operator Primary Identifier field is "None" assume the loan or return was a self check one
Neither of these workarounds work if you choose to delete Library staff records from Alma and not retain full statistics in Analytics or if the Circulation Desks are deleted (which can happen if a Library is closed)
It would be preferable to have a separate field in Analytics that indicates whether a loan or return was a self check one - that way the stats can't be impacted by the deletion of staff or Circulation Desks

Just tested this, and using the loan operator Primary Identifier field as "None" does not work. The totals are different from what our self-check software presents, and it also shows loans on months we didn't have self-check yet.

We have just come up against this problem. I think the advice from Ex Libris is the same now as two years ago. We have two campuses and over 30 libraries and it seems like overkill to have to set up a separate circulation desk for self-service for each.
When you purge a user, the 'Users' table in Analytics moves the PID to the last name field (if the keep statistics option is selected in the 'Delete User Policy' config). Can't this be done for the Fulfillment table too?
