Improve filtering of packages in Community Zone
When checking for a portfolio to import from the Community Zone, there can be large numbers of collections to sift through from the large suppliers. These appear in what I guess is reverse chronological order i.e. newest created first. It takes much scrolling and scrutiny if you don't want the collections that are offered first.
There should be a way either to search for the collection you want, or to filter by collection via a drop down. This would save time and also help prevent selecting the wrong collection and possibly having broken links in the Alma linkresolver1 vote -
Link related user records
We would like the ability to link user records in a primary dependent manner. This would allow use to identify and remove dependent records when a primary record is identified for deletion. This might be as simple as text box on the general tab. Reason:
Some patrons have borrowing privileges because of their relationship to an authorized patrons in our system. Faculty spouse have privileges because of the faculty member. When the faculty leaves we need to identify these dependent records to delete them also. In other systems these are known as family records.3 votes -
Using "Change expected date" clears filters on "Order lines with claims"
When using the "Order lines with claims" task it's useful to add filters, such as Purchase Type and Vendor, to refine your list of claims. However, if you use the "Change expected date" option, which should be quicker than Edit, it clears your filters once the new date is saved.
Can you please allow the filters to remain after using the Change expected date function? Thank you

When Creating Borrowing Requests Check for Duplicates with previous completed and cancelled requests
Following the implementation of the ability to check for duplicates when creating borrowing requests, we see that this only applies to active requests. We would find it helpful to have duplicate completed and cancelled requests flagged up in Alma (without the request being automatically rejected)

Natural Days vs Working Day in Loans
Hi,
My suggestion is to implement the option of using working days or opening days to calculate the expiration date in a loan.
Actually ALMA set this day by taking the natural days, but in a small library do not want to count Sundays as a day of loan, in attention to the students.
Thanks,
Fernando Lesser

delete pol
We really have the requirement to delete a POL attached to a PO in our daily work, we will have to reopen the POL and then cancel it and then delete it, it’s kind of complicated and can we delete it directly?

Sort of holdings with the same location by call number in the GetIt Tab
Currently, the display of holdings in Primo for multi-volume monographs is random.
Alma only allows to configure the order of locations by "their proximity to the patron, according to the library IP address”. However, holdings with the same location but different call numbers are not sorted in any meaningful way. When we catalogue a multi-volume monograph we create a different holding record for each volume, so we cannot use the “item sort routines” to adjust the display in Primo, because they only apply to items within the same holding.
Currently, our patrons see things like this:
http://primo.sns.it/primo_library/libweb/action/display.do?tabs=requestTab&ct=display&fn=search&doc=39pis_alma2150514590002521We’d like to…

Make Add an Item Work Order Configurable
When an "on-the-fly" item is created, loaned and returned by a patron, the item is automatically flagged for routing to the Acquisitions Work Order/Workflow.
In our institution, the ACQ Department does not work on these items, and this should not be the workflow that the materials are routed to, but we are unable to change the work order type.
We'd like to be able to configure or change the work order type for these materials, and also for the check-in process to more clearly delineate and note that the item is an "on-the-fly" item in particular. In the current process,…

Filter Pick From Shelf List, Active Hold Shelf, and Expired Hold Shelf by Patron Physical Item Request or Ship Physically
Currently, the Pick From Shelf list, Active Hold Shelf, and Expired Hold Shelf don't allow the items displayed in the list to be filtered. If Resource Sharing requests ("ship physically") and Patron Physical Item Requests must be combined, it would be much more useful to be able to filter out one or the other. It makes it difficult for Circulation staff to monitor the pick list and active and expired holds when we can't filter out the Resource Sharing requests that we don't work with, and the same holds for our Resource Sharing staff.

Restrict access by data field
I would like the ability to restrict access to certain data fields to only certain roles. The cataloging roles seem to be a fairly blunt tool for restricting access. If we could protect certain fields from all but catalog administrators for example, it could lead to greater data integrity without severely compromising the productivity of other cataloger roles.

Create a "natural language" editor to create Normalization rules
The process for creating Normalization rules is unnecessarily complex and difficult, particularly for those of us who are not familiar with Drools logic. Our previous LSP had an intuitive interface which made creating rules to change details in MARC records much less time consuming. Ex Libris would do well to create such an interface.

Create "Quick Cataloging" placement default as "Institution" rather than "Network"
When creating an item at checkout, or a brief record, Alma opens up a Quick Cataloging window that defaults the "Placement of new record" into the network. Since these records most often end up with the Cataloger under review, I feel that Alma should default to the Institution Zone instead. This will ensure that we do not unintentionally add these records to the Network zone.

Electronic Portfolios - can we have a new coverage line where free access can be added ?
At present in the coverage tab, there are the global dates, local, and perpetual (if the collection has been identified as having some perpetual access) Some of these titles have free access, which is not technically perpetual but is also not part of a subscription. Could a new line be added to include these free years/volumes, with the option to display these dates (or not) ? It would allow us to reduce the number of Free collections we have which all take users to the same place, and identify why we have access to journal years outside of our subscription…

Require a barcode for newly received serials
Serials can be assigned a barcode upon receipt, but it would be nice of Alma would prompt users to provide the barcode if/when a barcode is required rather than merely optional. (We only barcode some titles, so a prompt of some kind would help staff who don't know which titles are barcoded as a matter of routine.)

When Managing In Process Items ability to sort list of items into shelf order
When managing in process items in a work order department we may want to take a device with this list to a shelf of items in call number order e.g. damaged items shelved in call number order or theses ready to be shipped for digitisation. Call number is available as a field, but it's not possible to sort by it (ideally we'd want to sort by normalised call number.

Modify the payment method label in Fines and Fees report
Thanks for ExLibris helping our library to modify the payment method label: changing "Check" to "FEO". However, the payment method label in Fines and Fee report is not being modified accordingly. Is it possible to modify the labels in the reports as well? Or, could we add more payment methods in Fulfillment configuration?
