An error occurred while saving the comment Assigning a 'Circulation communication' address to the institution or to a library enables a 'From' address on library emails. The 'From'address will be visible to patrons and patrons will be able to reply to it.
This also enables users to indicate separate 'From' email addresses for the different libraries of the institution. If the circulation communication email is not indicated for the library, the circulation communication email indicated for the institution is taken.
Does that match the required feature ?

An error occurred while saving the comment You can create restrictions by allocating a location to these items. The circulation desk that is assigned to the self check profile may be configured to not allow check-in\out action for items of that location.

An error occurred while saving the comment Perhaps it would be worthwhile to hide the field from the request form.
An error occurred while saving the comment Can you explain why you would want to still process a received item if the patron has cancelled the request and is not interested anymore in the item ?

An error occurred while saving the comment The additional ID can be used for sorting the Active Hold Shelf list, but is not a searchable ID. Would just adding it to the borrowing request screen be helpful, without making it searchable ?
Can you elaborate of the workflows that would require making the ID visible in the RS requests list and searchable ?

An error occurred while saving the comment Do you mean that there should not be an option to place a request even if there is an avialavle copy at another campus but there is a currently on loan copy belonging to the patron's campus?

An error occurred while saving the comment Do these records have a specific record type ? Could their resource sharing link be suppressed with the March 2022 release of the 'Hide the Resource Sharing Link for Specific Resource Types' feature - https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Alma/Release_Notes/2022/Alma_2022_Release_Notes?mon=202203BASE ?
An error occurred while saving the comment I am not sure I understand, what should be the criteria for hiding the resource sharing link, and what's the business logic that it is intended to implement. Can you elaborate ?
Thanks,

An error occurred while saving the comment Note that it is possibel to use the 'Sending Borrowing Request Rules' to prevent auto sending of requests to specifc partners. The request will remain in a 'ready to be sent' status until manually sent.

An error occurred while saving the comment Can you elaborate on the exact functional context ? The 'Resource Sharing Return Slip' is printable when returning a borrowed item to the lender. You may include a printable barcode image on this letter. Printing the letter will take place when:
* Scanning in an item that triggers a return to the lender (including Managing Patron Services and Return Items menu option)
* Using the Return option in the borrowing task list -

An error occurred while saving the comment If you allow updating information form Primo then the submitted data should not be wiped out by the next data load. The data from Primo will be created as an internal segment, attached to the external user account. This internal segment will not get wiped by the next load.
An error occurred while saving the comment Hi,
I am not sure about 'letting the students update contact information that will be wiped out next time data is loaded in to Alma'. Updates done by patrons from Primo should be recorded as internal segments (e.g. email) and not get overrun by a subsequent SIS import. Is that not your experience ?

We are reviewing as a potential enhancement to the borrowing request insert process
An error occurred while saving the comment Note that when a request is placed in Alma (and then pushed to Rapid), if the PMID or DOI is included, additional metadata automatically augments the request. The following fields are automatically populated:
-Article Title
-Journal Title
-Author
-Volume
-Issue
-ISSN
-Pages
-Start Page
-End Page
-Publication DateThis depends on the Augmentation Integration Profile set up.

An error occurred while saving the comment There's on going contact with NLM. The last inquiry was made on October 2020, and was responded to with - 'We will add you to our vendor list and be in touch as soon as possible.'
We will continue to track the feasibility of this potential integration option.
An error occurred while saving the comment Hi,
Ex Libris has been in contact with NLM some time ago regarding the possibility of setting up an integration with DOCLINE. Following the launch of DOCLINE 6 we have re-asked the question. NLM answer is quoted below.
"DOCLINE 6 was launched for requesting this spring, with basic features for interlibrary loan. Development continues to be focused on restoration of features or functionality that were available to users in the previous version. While we can confirm that APIs are planned for the future, there is no additional information at this time. We will reach out to those who expressed interest in DOCLINE integration when APIs are on the schedule for development."
We will continue to monitor the development of DOCLINE, and be happy to work on integrations as soon as that becomes an option.
Thank you,

An error occurred while saving the comment The fulfillment unit may be set up with a policy for requesting available items, see https://www.screencast.com/t/ghrpyOwVOW, for example allowing requesting only for pickup in another campus.
It is possible to override that for specific user groups. This can be done by using the On Shelf Request Policy on the request Terms of Use, see https://www.screencast.com/t/2s1obeNI. This way, you can allow specific user groups to request regardless of the fact that the item is on shelf.
Does that match what you are looking to implement ?

An error occurred while saving the comment Hi,
Are you referring to the Public/Staff options in column 2 ? These refer to the types that are split in the tabs of the User Management list, see https://www.screencast.com/t/XUeQgJkg. They affect any user group.
Can you please elaborate ?
Would this action be different from renew ? Checking out an already on loan item can be used to trigger a renew.
