Option to deactivate the Resource Sharing Request Service for records without physical item of electronic/digital services
Dear colleagues,
this idea is for adding the option to deactivate the Resource Sharing Request service in Primo VE for some groups of records without physical item of electronic/digital services, without having to deactivate the Resource Sharing Request rule in Discovery Interface Display Logic.
This deactivation should be applicable only to local records (catalogued in Alma) and the single institutions should be able to decide if enable it or not.
We would like the same behavour that exists for Primo also for Primo VE (for example, indicating to Primo VE that when the availability is "no inventory" ILL must be disabled, while when the availability is "no electronic" the possibility of requesting Resource Sharing must can be activated).

Dear Moshe,
using resource types as a criteria for determining the display of the form for Resource Sharing Requests does not allow it to be hidden from records with e-resources. For example, we can indicate that the form is only displayed under the resource type "Book", but this does not prevent it from being displayed in e-books. To solve this, you propose to make use of the General Electronic Services together with the display rules, but as you know, the OpenURL parameters that allow us to determine in which resources the GES will appear does not guarantee that it will be displayed in all e-resources to prevent the user from seeing the RSR form in those cases.
Best regards

Do these records have a specific record type ? Could their resource sharing link be suppressed with the March 2022 release of the 'Hide the Resource Sharing Link for Specific Resource Types' feature - https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Alma/Release_Notes/2022/Alma_2022_Release_Notes?mon=202203BASE ?

Dear Moshe,
I have wrongly written this sentence: instead of "records without physical item OF electronic/digital services", I meant "records without physical item OR electronic/digital services".
In fact, we have many records without physical item OR electronic/digital services (i.e. the title of academic theses that are not available, or "parent" records for level cataloguing). For these records, we need to show in Primo VE the title, but don't want to let patrons make any ILL request.
We hope now the Idea is clearer; if not, don't hesitate to ask again.
Thanks and regards -

Paritiy issue, then.

I am not sure I understand, what should be the criteria for hiding the resource sharing link, and what's the business logic that it is intended to implement. Can you elaborate ?
Thanks,
