  1. Ability to sort/filter according to item status within the new user interface

    When viewing holdings of a physical record in the full record display of the new Primo UI only five items/copies display by default. If a client would like to view all copies they have to click the "Show more items" link. We have received feedback that clients often do not use or even see the “Show more items” link and tend to only look at the status of the five copies that are displayed by default rather then click through to view all copies.   2. Could Exlibris regularly update the list of common titles used by the Primo duplication detection vector?

    Primo uses the duplicate detection vector to determine whether or not records will be deduped and merged in Primo.

    One of the match criteria is full title. If two records have the same title and the title is not in the list of common titles, the records are assigned 600 points. (800 points or higher means the records will be dedupe/merged.)

    It includes common titles such as annual report, bulletin, transactions... Unfortunately it does not include other common titles such as news, poems, plays... (See attached Excel file.)

  3. Tags Management in consortium level environment

    The Tags Management page is only available to institution level in a non-sharing environment and this is not available in a consortium level environment.

    So staff users can't delete tags, which is a problem.

    Please make it available for all environment.

  4. [PRIMO] Allow normalization of Primo Central Index PC records

    It would be great to have the ability to normalize the Primo Central records using NR set as we do for local records.
    This would be very beneficial. For example:

    • Customers could choose their own facet values and harmonize them with local records.
    • Values only in PC records could be removed of modified (e.g. toplevel facet values for Open access and Peer Reviewed )
    • FRBR and Dedup could be performed also against local records, thus greatly improving results in blended search. etc.

  5. Separating Scholarly and Peer Reviewed facets in the PCI

    As a former Summon library, we are lamenting that there used to be separate facets in Summon for Scholarly and for Peer-reviewed articles - as not all peer-reviewed content is scholarly. Ex Libris has responded to my Salesforce inquiry that there are no current plans to separate this content into separate facets, but the idea may be considered for the CDI roadmap.

  6. Primo VE: ability to search without search expansion and to display a link to include expanded terms if desired

    Currently if the search expansion with controlled vocabulary feature is switched on in Primo VE, the search expansion is automatically included in the search by default and the user has to click to remove the expanded terms from their search. It would be beneficial to have the ability to have the feature switched on, but with the expansion not included by default and for the user to be able to include the expanded terms if desired.

  7. Shibboleth authentication based patron update

    It would be useful to be able to utilise Alma’s patron data update (via ‘Update User Details’ RestAPI) using attributes released in the federated authentication process and are in accordance with EduPerson -schema (Shibboleth/SAML2).

  8. Extend hypertext linking for Relation, Is Part Of, and Uniform Title to remote records

    Enhanced hypertext linking for ispartof, relation, and unititle was introduced in the November 2017 Primo Release. These new fields joined existing hypertext linked fields for creator, contributor, and subject.
    However, a key difference for the three newer fields is that they only show lateral links in the UI for local records. This limitation is hardcoded, and is confirmed but not explained (Case: 00486499).
    Like many sites, we have configured our Primo environment without search scopes with a source-agnostic design, with the underlying premise that users do not care who owns an item or where the record comes from, only that…

  9. Auto correct typos

    Primo search should have the ability to auto correct common spelling errors and typos.

    A current review of our zero result searches has shown that many zero result searches are typos and misspellings.
    Users are used to systems that can auto-correct or suggest corrections for misspelled words.
    Auto correct of typos would greatly improve the user experience.

  10. Add Zotero Support for Alma Services Page

    The Zotero plugin uses a showPNX flag that outputs the metadata in an XML format that Primo and PrimoVE use.

    However, Services Pages do not hold the PNX information and can therefore not work with the Zotero plug-in. This is true for Summon-over-Alma/PrimoVe and Primo customers when using the services page.

    Please add support for Zotero.

    Please add a hierarchical tree display option to Collection Lobby. When a top-level collection has many sub-collections across all depth level, it's too hard to browse individual collections and titles.

  12. Primo VE's API Favorites should return the "saved searches" on an user

    Primo VE's API Favorites (/primo/v1/favorites, GET) is currently returning the favorite records that an user has saved into his account.

    But an user also have saved searches on his account. The API is not returning those searches. It would be helpful to get them in the API results...

  13. Ability to merge local data with cdi records

    We currently export Imperial Open Access Spiral material to CDI and Primo VE. This means in Primo VE we show duplicate records for all our Open Access Spiral Records. One from the local source and one from CDI. This is not the best user experience. It is also confusing for library staff working on Spiral Records in Primo VE.

  14. Transformation routine to convert number range to list

    Have a transformation routine that will convert a range of numbers to a list. For example

    input: 3-8
    output: 3,4,5,6,7,8

    This would be very helpful in the search section, as users often search for a series and volume number, but if the series number is in a range they won't find it. E.g., this search will fail

    Series entry:
    The big series, v.24-35

    user search:
    big series 31

    With the new transformation, the search section of the pnx would have
    The big series, v.24,25,26,27,28,29,30,31,32,33,34,35
    and the search would work.

  15. "Feedback Tool" for the New Primo UI: possibility to define the e-mail field as a mandatory field

    We have been using the feedback tool for a few weeks now and have unfortunately received many requests where the users did not provide an e-mail address.
    As a result, we have no way to ask a question or explain the reported behaviour (as it is correct).

    Therefore, we would be glad if the e-mail field can be defined as a mandatory field in the Primo back office.
    A user can of course still enter a fake e-mail address, but then this is a deliberate action.

  16. "Feedback Tool" for the New Primo UI: Configuring the Feedback Letter - please support multilingualism

    There are already pre-defined labels for the e-mail in different languages (e.g. default.report.emailTextNoEmail) but they are currently non-functional :-(

  17. Fulfillment Network - Restrict the ordering of books from the other institution when there are books loanable in the home organization

    *This is for the Fulfillment Network, not AFN.
    We are in a small consortium, just two institutions. Now we are trying to use direct requesting function of the Fulfillment Network, not AFN. In this case, we found that there is no option which restricts the ordering of books from the other institution when there are books loanable in the home organization.

    Whilst doing a title search the results are often skewed by publication titles being included in the results lists.

  19. Please make the MARC bib. 245 subfield p from the bibliographic record available.

    The MARC 245 subfield p from the bibliographic record is not exposed to Primo. This means that the data in the b245p is not available to display to users in the My Account section of Primo, to letters sent to users, as part of the requesting process and on pull slips for items. This becomes important when the items have 245a data that is the same. For example, when a video game has the same name with more info in the 245p like the ones below.

  20. Allow Lateral Links to Perform a Browse Search

    Our library consortium would like to have the links in the details section of the record display bring the user to the browsable index. That way, if a record has a subject of "Library catalogs", the user would get a list of clickable subject headings with subdivisions so as to either find more records with the same subject or records with a more narrow focus:
