    TMS library fulfillment management wants to show a pop-up window a day or two ahead of time when the Patron's Library ID is about to expire and then a pop window saying the patron's account is expired.

  2. Disable credit functionality for patrons

    We can't and don't want to handle credits in favor of patrons in Alma. While I was able to deactivate the addition of the credit "fine" type, it is still possible to create a credit from the payment menu by ticking the box "Add change to balance".
    While you "just don't have to tick it" in order to solve the problem, mistakes are quickly made. We would like to have a parameter that disables the credit functionality overall, so that there are no hidden ways to add credit all the same.

  3. Automatic request not filled notification for on loan items which are requested but not returned without cancelling the request

    If a user places a request for an item currently on loan to another user and the requested item is not returned there should be an option to notify the requester that the request is not going to be fulfilled without using the cancel request function and disassociating the user's request from the item.

  4. Remove option to 'Renew' offered in a "Due Loans Letter" generated by a patron request.

    Option to Renew is confusing to patrons who are denied when they try to renew a recalled item. Better not to offer, or appear to offer, it in a recall generated by a patron request.

  5. Immediate availablity of new TOU from Fulfillment Units Rule Screen

    When creating a new Fulfillment Unit Rule, we have the opportunity to create a new TOU in that screen. However, when we hit save the TOU is not immediately made available for use in the drop down menu.

    It would be very beneficial if the newly created TOU was immediately available in the drop down after we hit save. Currently, we have to cancel the Fulfillment Unit Rule we are working on and restart it in order to have the new TOU available as a choice.

  6. Ability to Block Loan Status Notice based on Loan Status

    Ability to Block Loan Status Notice based on TOU
    The process for blocking the loan status notice (FullItemChangeDueDateLetter) should be more flexible. Currently, it's sent whenever a request is submitted for any item checked out by a particular user group, whether that item is recallable or not. It's unnecessary and confusing to receive a recall notice when the due date isn't being changed.

  7. Register Multiple In House Uses for a single item with one scan

    Often our librarians bring a book into a class so that students can use it to work on an assignment. Afterwards, we want to record that it has been used in house multiple times. Can you add a functionality to the Scan In Items screen so that you can scan an item once, but have it register multiple in house uses?

  8. Move the cursor for expired patron pop up

    When a patrons account has expired the location of the cursor on the blocked account pop-up window is 'Renew'. The default location of the cursor should be moved to Cancel or OK as it's too easy to hit enter and renew the account accidentally. Renewing an account should be a chosen action, not the default

  9. Have the System Job Notification return a list of barcodes to show which items were skipped when running a job on an itemised (itemized) set

    Use case: As part of our workflow we have to add a fulfilment note and an internal note to items in an itemised set. When creating the text for Internal Note 3, we specify that it only be done if the field is empty (so as not to overwrite an existing instruction, because there is no way currently to ADD text to an already-populated field). When running the job, we are told the quantity of items which were skipped (due to their already having text in Internal Note 3); it would be very useful if the report told us exactly…

  11. Have a link to borrower information from the Scan In Items screen

    I have been finding it a bit fiddly to go from returning an item to a borrower's details, primarily in order to pay and waive fines. Would it be possible to display the last borrower number in the Scan In Item screen, and have this and the item barcode number as a link to the Manage Patron and Item pages respectively?

  12. Configuration allowing only Institution Level Terms of Use and Fulfillment Policy

    Would like the ability to turn off the creation of Library specific Terms of Use and Library specific Fulfillment Policy. We are a small institution with only one Library. The Institution set-up with Library overrides provides a level of configuration that is problematic and error prone. System enforcement allowing only Institution level changes (which is the recommended configuration) would be very helpful.

  13. Customisable expiry dates in Alma Calendar Management entries

    Currently, if you add an entry in Alma Calendar Management (Config & choose relevant library > Fulfillment > Opening Hours > Calendar Management), it lasts for 3 years before expiring. Entries can expire unnoticed and cause fulfillment-related problems, such as due dates being calculated incorrectly. It would be much better if these calendar entries could be set to expire on a particular date or never, depending on what the person creating the entry decides is preferable.

    We would like to have ability to use different Terms of Use for list of undergraduate students. Currently the Terms of user that affects entire set of User groups. We would like ability to set different Terms of use to subset of user groups.

  18. Send Courtesy Notices and Handle Loan Renewals - send at different times based on Item Policy

    Currently the Send Courtesy Notices and Handle Loan Renewals job has a t value "Days before Due Date" that applies to all loans, irrespective of the Item policy. Therefore if the item is only on a week loan then user is getting the courtesy letter quite soon after the loan was issued.
    We would like an amendment to this job so that it can be configured to allow the courtesy letter sent at different times based on the Item Policy.

  19. Communicate patron cost avoidance resulting from library circulation services.

    Add the availability of information in the FulLoanReceiptLetter.xsl Alma letter to include the value of the current loan (i.e. item list price) and also the sum value of the history of loans to date, for the patron. This would allow the letter to be customized to tell the user the amount of cost avoidance achieved by using library services to gain access to circulated items. For example, text might be added like this:
    "You just saved $XXX.XX by using your library. You have saved $X,XXX.XX this past year."
