Improve sort order in configuration lists
Some configuration lists (e.g. Physical Material Type Descriptions) have a large number of rows and it is extremely time consuming to change the sort order if you want to move something that is near the bottom of the list to near the top of the list.
It would be great if a sort row number could be entered against a particular row and that row would then be moved to that place in the sort order and all other rows resorted accordingly
e.g. Physical Material Type Descriptions has 84 rows. If I want to move the value in row 84 (Other Visual Material) to the top I have to click the up arrow 84 times and wait for the screen to refresh each time. If each row had a number and I could enter 1 against Other Visual Material and submit it then it could appear in row number one and the Book material type that was previously number one would become row number 2 (and all other rows below would be reshuffled). This means there would be one click rather than 84 and it would save a great deal of time.
There are many Administrative configuration screens throughout Alma that could benefit from this change
