Request for a List of Selectable Special Characters in the MDE Virtual Keyboard
Request regarding the MDE virtual keyboard for inserting special characters, which became available with the August 2025 release.
I would like to be able to view all available characters at once, or to change the order of the character code blocks in the drop-down menu.
It would be especially helpful if the characters could be displayed in Unicode order.
Currently, characters are grouped and selectable via a drop-down menu, but this structure requires users to know which set contains the character they want to input.
This makes the process inconvenient, especially when searching for less common characters.

it would help to have a customisable list of all characters/special characters/diacritics of the Unicode table(s)

It would help a lot if it is possible to scroll down all the special characters. the last used characters on top of the list (like in other selection lists in alma) could help as well if it is not possible to have a costomisable list

Additionally it would be great, if the recently used Unicode-Sets could be sticky, instead of being reset when starting a new session.

I don't know, if that is possible, but I would appreciate a possibility to select the characters I most frequently need and create something like a favourite list.

A customisable list of most used characters/diacritics has also been requested at my institution
