Please add more fields to the 'Receiving Items List'
Acquisitions --> Receive --> Continuous (orders) --> Manage Items
We would be happy to have additional fields in the 'Received Items List':
- Internal note 1
- Internal note 2
- Internal note 3
- Public note
Our colleagues in the Serials Department use Item Notes to document vendor responses (of reminded issues) or for notes that only concern individual issues. Having these information already displayed in the list without additional clicks would make their daily work much easier.
Since display in the "Manage Items" list is configurable, each customer can decide for herself/himself which fields she/he would like to have displayed.

Dear all,
I'd like to update you that this idea will be added to Alma as part of November release 2025.
We will add items' display fields to the 'Received Items List' page in the receiving workbench.
Fields to be added to one-time receiving, and whether they are displayed OTB:
Modified (not OTB)
Description (OTB)
Internal Notes (OTB)
Functional Notes (OTB)
Statistics Notes (OTB)
Expected Receiving Date (not OTB)
Fields to be added to continuous receiving, and whether they are displayed OTB:
Copy Status (not OTB)
Requests (not OTB)
Internal Notes (OTB)
Functional Notes (OTB)
Statistics Notes (OTB)
Expected Receiving Date (not OTB)
The notes fields (Internal Notes, Functional Notes, Statistics Notes) will show a green checkmark if there are any notes in their category. Selecting the checkmark opens a pop up with the notes details.
Thank you,
Zohar Shemesh

The first part of this idea has been put into practice. The second part of the idea, "expected receiving date" and "storage location ID" in the receive screen, is still needed.

When searching for physical items in the repository search it would be practical for a note field to be visible from the search result list. In advanced search for physical items, you can search for internal note 1-3, statistical note 1-3 and public note, it would save time if you could see these without editing each item. Using the existing option for adding and removing columns in the repository search (manage column display) you should be able to choose which of these fields you would like to be visible. These fields should then be included when you download an excel file of the search results. This would eliminate needing to use analytics to retrieve a list of items with notes, and would make this operation available to more users, since not everyone has training in Analytics.
Another field which should also be visible, from the repository search for physical items, the list of items under a bibliographic record and the list of items under receive – manage items, is the “expected receiving date” of the item. This is critical information which often have to be checked, and if you need to check this date for several items (which is often the case) it would save a lot of clicks if it was visible in the list view.
The field “Storage location ID” has been added as a column in the list of items from repository search, which has been very helpful, but this field should also be added to the list of items in the receive screen (Acquisition – receive – One time/continuous – manage items). It is in this screen that information is usually added to recently received items and where we would edit the Storage location field. It would for that reason be practical to see this field in the list of items during the receiving workflow and it would make it easier to remember to edit this field.

Our colleagues are also missing columns in this list (like Vendor information). -

I see that the Description column is already displayed for continuous orders. Why not add it to one time orders?

Subject: Add a Description column in the Received Items List page
As a Receiving operator, I would like to be able to see the description of the item I am receiving in the Received Items List page, without needing to click on Edit Inventory Item to navigate to the physical item editor.
