alma digital
When our MARC metadata displays in the Alma Digital viewer, a semicolon is added in the format field where a space appears in our MARC record 300 field between subfields a and b.
We have not encountered other fields where punctuation is added or changed between what we have entered into the Alma Metadata Editor and delivery, so we're not sure why this field has this problem.

It's great to see ideas on improving digital resource management. Integrating more user-friendly features and streamlining digital workflows could really benefit libraries and their patrons. What are your thoughts on the most critical improvements needed for Alma Digital?

Yes. We have asked through SalesForce and the answer was:
"The Alma Viewer takes the format information from the record's operational record.
The double separators appear because both the MD Editor and the operational record creation process generate separators between the subfields of field 300.
Making changes to either of these places would require a major redesign, and thus cannot be handled as a bug. However, Product Management is aware of this issue and will look to include it on the roadmap for the near future, if possible.
In the meanwhile, we suggest you raise this as an idea in our ideas exchange platform..." -

Thank you for pointing this out - same here! I would'nt consider this an "Idea", but rather a Bug since it seems to be hardcoded for this field only. Has this already been reported through a Salesforce case?
