Allow Multiple Rollovers for Reserves Courses
We attempted to implement course rollover at our institution but ran into an issue that means it did not fit how our university operates. We don’t get all courses in our course feed on a single date for a given semester, and we need to start loading the next semester’s courses before all of them appear on in our feed. This creates a problem for rolling over courses because it would require us to rollover the same course more than once. This would mean either: A) there would be multiple reading lists on the course, several of which were not valid; or B) the course would rollover and replace whatever reading list additions had been added for the new semester with the state of the reading list from last semester.
We would like functionality that would let us rollover courses daily at certain times of the year, but flags courses that have already been rolled over once so they are excluded, and merely come into Alma as Update rather than with the ROLLOVER operation.
