When Creating Borrowing Requests Check for Duplicates with previous completed and cancelled requests
Following the implementation of the ability to check for duplicates when creating borrowing requests, we see that this only applies to active requests. We would find it helpful to have duplicate completed and cancelled requests flagged up in Alma (without the request being automatically rejected)

Completed requests
Our policy is not to permit multiple requests for the same item (although we sometimes make an exception) so we would want these flagged up so they could be rejected by the team, with an explanatory emailCancelled requests
Requests are usually cancelled because we already have the item available on Primo or freely available online, it would be helpful for team to see this before making the search again. (Yes, Primo should pick this up, but it doesn’t consistently)
They may also be cancelled because there is no suitable version available to borrow and so we purchase the item instead – again, helpful to see this before performing the searches. -
Hi,
What would be the purpose of this flagging ? What workflow would it trigger ?
Thanks,
