Grace Period only for open days
Now the unit of measurement for grace period is "days". So even if the library closed on weekend, those days are included to "Grace Period". To give fair advantage of grace period, Alma should apply the grace period excluding library closed.

Hi all,
happy to inform you that starting from the Alma August 2025 release, more granularity was added for setting up grace period policies so that the library can decide whether closed days should be part of the grace period or not. This enables more accurate grace period calculation during library close times.

I opened a case in September 2023 - Thats the comment from ExLibris:
"It looks like the target timeline for this enhancement is currently Q2 of 2024. This is being handled internally by our Developers, and is subject to change based on their workload and bandwidth. Since the roadmap is determined by the Development team, regular updates will not be made available to Support."

Today is 18 Jan 2024. Almost 4 years and 6 months after receiving the response for "Open Days" being an option in Grace period policy.
I hope this planned item will appear in the schedule of new release of ALMA in 2024.
