Expand "Create Physical Items Work Order" job to include work order Status
The “Create Physical Item Work Orders” job should be expanded to allow users to add work order Status in addition to Type and Department to a set of records. Currently adding Status is a 2nd separate step. After running the job to apply Type and Department, you must then sign into the appropriate Currently At location, Manage In Process Items, and then apply the Work Order Status (limited to one screen of 20 records at a time). Very Inefficient!

This really needs to be addressed. I recently had to change the work order status on over 1000 items and this was an extremely time consuming process.

Another user chiming in to say we very much need this. We recently had to re-configure our work orders, which meant I had to run jobs to create the new work orders, then use Manage In Process Items to apply the correct Work Order Status to some 300 items.

The ability to add the status from the get-go would be so helpful and time saving. Also adding "Create Physical Items Work Order" to Work Order Operator role or create a new role of Work Operator Extended would be very helpful. It currently creates extra work for our administrators that could be done by a staff member, especially when moving large amounts of items to and from tech services.

It's astounding that this has not been addressed by now.

there is absolutely no point in this job, if it doesn't allow to set a specific status for an item. setting only the work order type is not enough!!
this idea is here from 2016, for 6 years?! :(
