Loan Transfers Between Patron Accounts
Sometimes we find ourselves in the situation where we need to return a loan from one account over to the account it should've been loaned out to.
It would be great if we could have some kind of loan transfer option that would keep the original loan date and due date that's on the incorrect account.

Is there any developer scope for a Cloud app which might assist with this at all?

Hi, this Idea describes a problem common to many institutions. Even if it is not a frequent event, when it does occur it is highly inconvenient to library staff and can frustrate the provision of efficient customer service to patrons. The manual re-issuing from one account to another (especially if over 20 loans/a single page etc) provides opportunities for errors to creep in, so it would be a very beneficial addition to the Fulfillment options to staff in the Manage Patron Services view. This is something we would hoped to have seen by now.

I have developed a script that generate .dat files from loans of an user: these files uploaded in Alma offline circulation perform automatic returns and re-loans to another user mantaining as much as possible original loan and return dates; it's not totally automatic but it may be helpful.
Take a look here:

We sometimes need to move many loans from one patron account to the another. The only way to do it is via off line circ, but it would be nice if Alma could get a list of barcodes and loan them automatically to the required patron account.
