  1. Add due date or overdue status to the search bar criteria

    Would it be possible to either add criteria to the search bar which either includes the Due Date of a loan, or a flag of Is Overdue (equals Yes/No)?

    Reason: If we want to check on certain overdue items, I can't find a quick & easy way to investigate them. Adding these to the search bar would leverage the other search criteria to make easy Logical sets of items that are overdue in certain areas (such as reserves or equipment loans).

  2. Fulfillment: User receives an email when an item that has requests on it is issued to them and the loan period is shorter than normal

    In our loan Terms of Use the Recall Period and Requested Item Due Date are set to 3 days. If a user requests an item, but then another request is placed on the item before they collect it from the library and it is issued to them, when the item is issued to them they are not informed that there is another request on the item so the loan period is only 3 days.   4. Add options to Terms of Use "is renewable"

    We would like the ability to require staff mediated renewals for certain items based on Terms of Use. Currently, TOUs have a flag for is renewable, but this allows patrons to self renew in their Primo account.

    Desired state: the is renewable flag would allow us to customize into options:
    - is renewable by staff and patron
    - is renewable by staff only

    "is renewable by staff" would allow staff to use the existing renew options in manage patron services to renew the item, but would prevent the user from renewing from within Primo.

  5. Allow deletion of a loan transaction after the item has been returned

    Sometimes as library staff we loan an item to a user by accident. The staff member returns the item accidently loaned in Alma and then realises that it's not possible to delete the loan transaction.

    Please can this functionality be added as follows:

    1) Be available by permission to certain Alma roles

    2) Require a note to be added explaining why the loan transaction has been deleted for audit purposes.

    3) Ability to report in Alma Analytics on deleted loan transactions with the deletion note field also available for reporting in Analytics.

  7. An 'All returns' option in Manage Patron Services

    We'd like to be able to configure the Returns screen in Manage Patron Services to show 'All Returns' as well as 'Returns this session', in the same way you can set the Loans screen to 'rememberlastloan_display' on Fulfillment config 'Other Settings'. Checking on a patron's return history requires an extra click, which constantly annoys staff!

  8. A simple job to renew loans in Bulk

    Currently there are Fulfillment sets which allow collections of items to be adjusted in due date, as per:

    However for institutions which have auto-renewal, there is no simple way to bulk renew all current loans at a given time. i.e. force all loans which might normally be renewed at a certain time in the 'Notifications - Send Courtesy Notices and Handle Loan Renewals' job, to just be renewed from a given date and time.

    Being able to 'press the big renew button' would be very helpful when approaching vacation periods, especially with better controls around loan criteria affected.

  9. Removing temporary location on circ - sometimes only

    When assigning a temporary location, I would like to be able to specify a conditions to remove from the temporary location when it circulates.

    For example:

    If an item has a temporary location of: Course Reserves, then the existing system works great - there's a pull request generated at the Due Back date and we scan them in and restore the permanent location - and one would NOT was the temporary location changed if circulated.

    But when the temporary location is New Book Shelf, I would like to have that temporary location removed when the book goes on loan. (now…

  10. Create a loan period that rounds reserves to the nearest hour

    Rounding to the nearest hour with reserve loans makes it easier for the user to remember the time due to avoid fines. On the staff side, it is easier to manage bookings/holds.

  11. Identifying info of returning patron visible when scanning in items

    When items are returned/scanned in I often want to know who the borrower was for various reasons (a personal book was accidentally included and I want to contact borrower, a book was damaged and I want to contact borrower etc).

    There is currently no option to add any columns related to borrower information. So if I want to find out who just returned an item I have to: row action > edit item > history > fulfillment activities

  14. Enable filtering by library when patrons use multiple libraries

    Our readerss use more than one library in our institution. When I look at their borrowing record, it shows me all their loans, which in some cases might be 50+. Why can't we filter so it just shows me what they've got from our library?

  15. Create exceptions for "Closed Library Due Date Management" Settings

    We want to create exceptions for the "closed due date management" setting in our TOUs based on events in the calendar. For example, for single day exceptions such as for holiday closed dates like 4th of July, Memorial Day, etc., we want items due AFTER the exception, but for our month long winter break, we want everything due before the break begins so we can update our equipment and complete inventory over the break.   16. In Fulfillment Notes - Can the text of the actual Note be larger than the accompanying text?

    The text of the Note in Fulfillment Notes is smaller and less attention getting than the surrounding text, e.g.; "Are you sure you want to perform this action?"
    It would be easier to find and process if the text were larger than the surrounding text.

  17. allow a simple method for transferring loans from one patron account to another

    Currently in Alma there is no simple way to transfer loans from one user account to another, and yet this may be a regular requirements if customer transfer from one course to another, Undergraduate to Postgraduate etc. It would be very helpful to staff if a single function existed to allow the transfer of loans from one account to another which could be selected.

  18. Limit overdues notices to a particular user group

    We want to send out overdues notices to some user groups but not others. It would be useful if we could limit the letters or notices to be send only to selected user groups.

    At the moment if overdues notices are switched on, all user groups receive the overdues notices. Ideally, User group A receives an overdues notice but User group B does not.

  19. Allow Personal Delivery to be fulfilled from any library circ desk

    Scenario: When an item belonging to another library that has an active home delivery request is returned or scanned in at another library's circulation desk, the item is put in transit to the owning library for the request to be fulfilled. The home delivery request should be fulfilled from any loans desk regardless of which library the item belong to.
