An error occurred while saving the comment Luigi Siciliano commentedExporting structurally invalid binary MARC records sounds like more like an error that should be pointed out and fixed. Did anyone open a case about it?

An error occurred while saving the comment Luigi Siciliano commentedI just voted this idea and added a closely related one (whith a link to this Debora's idea as well):
[Primo] - Add an enabled / disabled status field to pipes
https://ideas.exlibrisgroup.com/forums/308176-primo/suggestions/36913195--primo-add-an-enabled-disabled-status-field-tI believe these two ideas are complementary.
An error occurred while saving the comment Luigi Siciliano commentedJust made a mistake with because of an old pipe and was about to submit the same idea. Allowing deletion of old unused pipes would be absolutely great.

An error occurred while saving the comment Luigi Siciliano commentedDear Susan, thank you very much. Since all in all it's deletion in Leganto the trigger, I decided to post this ideas in the Leganto section. Perhaps you have Leganto votes left and you can vote for the proposal there:

An error occurred while saving the comment Luigi Siciliano commentedDear Stacey, dear all, the idea is not to have a pipe and a norm rule set for each collection.
The customers should be able to select sources for PC exactly as they are doing now. And records in PC should be normalized by Ex Libris in the current PNX format exactly as they are now.But in Primo BE we should have an additional layer (it could be a pipe or something similar) with its norm rule set. This norm rule set would normalize, where required, the PC PNX records delivered by ex libris.
In other words, I can imagine a pipe named "customerPCI", having as data source the customer's collections and current PNX as source format, and its Normalization Rule having PNX field as source and related transformation routines when needed.
That would allow to make local PNX and PC PNX more consistent and improve blended search.

An error occurred while saving the comment Luigi Siciliano commented@François,
the solution you propose is quite powerful. Perhaps a bit complex to implement and manage, but of course powerful.
Simply allowing to include/exclude in the index by resource type (e.g. exclude Book reviews and Reference and include articles) would be an important step ahead that perhaps is more doable in the short term.
However the two ideas go in the same direction and make clear to ExL how some sort of improvement must be figured out.Luigi Siciliano shared this idea · -

An error occurred while saving the comment Luigi Siciliano commentedDear Galen, the fact that "chapters and articles appear as 'no full text' but with the option to request the physical copy" seems like a good feature to me. I understand that for the distant reader it is not useful, but perhaps any other patron in the library would instead appreciate the chance of reading the desired chapter or article on paper.
Something very bad I noticed is, however, that sometimes the feature leads to false positives, for example when the value in 245$a is short and common, such as, for example: 'History' or 'Macroeconomics'. In such a case, the GetIt would propose to request the item of the Physical Title having as 245$a 'History' or 'Macroeconomics' even if other metadata such as the author (!) are completely different from the ones in the PCI record. -

An error occurred while saving the comment Luigi Siciliano commentedLet me add that the documentation section I quoted in this idea, explaining the current behavior, is the chapter "The FRBR Vector" in the Technical Guide.

Actually it would be great if all Public Notes, also those of electronic collection and electronic services and portfolios, could be translatable.
