How can we improve Leganto?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.

  1. Trigger Owner Subscription Letter on rollover and on active auto_set_instructors_as_owners

    We would like the Owner Subscription Letter to activate when instructors are automatically set as owners to corresponding reading lists. We would like this to happen on rollover as well.

    The Leganto Notification Letter is to imprecise to function well as information for the instructors when they have been added as owners to a reading list.

    We can't see why the OWS only triggers when you are added as an owner when in Leganto, or when added in Alma and you actively choose "Send E-mail".

  2. Develop an update process between the Parent record (ALMA) and the added appointment in Leganto

    It is important that they develop an update process between the Parent record and the added appointment in Leganto, that is, whenever there is an update or change in the records (MARC, holdins, items) of Alma that are referenced in the lists of reading Leganto. Currently these changes are not automatically updated in the reading lists . Por example we make changes at the classification level, in metadata and reading lists in Leganto are altered and we must re-reference or load the lists. It would be a excelllent if this process were automatic.

  3. Improve the visibility of "Publish" list option

    We have noticed quite a number of Instructor created lists remain in Draft in error, as Instructors are not always aware when a list is 'draft' or 'published'. The option to 'publish' is hidden within the Resource List options menu. Instead, it would be useful if the 'publish' option appeared as a visible button and hence be easier to find and also possibly serve as a reminder to publish a list.

  4. Improved Citation Alert Management Functionality for UI

    It would streamline the workflow significantly if Citation Alert Notes which are represented by the green dot in the Reading List View could include what contents of the Note actually are. This would save the workflow 3 extra clicks into the citation to edit it, checking the Notes Tab and having to then back out again to the Reading List. There is also significant work in having to clear an Alert once seen and or action, where the staff member has to select the citation, scroll to the top of the list, choose the Actions Menu, and select the Remove…

  5. Enable the user to focus on the relevant sections, based on the date

    If the list is built by week, by default all sections relevant to the past will be collapsed. Only the current week's section and future sections will be expanded, by default.
