Add MARC field 240 as a new field in Leganto
We have several records representing e-books, which are published as e-books (much) later than when the same content was published as a printed book. The printed book may be published in 2007, the same e-book in 2019, and even if both dates are recorded in the 008-field of the record, this information is not displayed in Leganto. Only the actual publishing year (in our example 2019) is visible to the user. It makes it look like a newer edition, which it is not.
Ex: https://bibsys-k.alma.exlibrisgroup.com/leganto/readinglist/citation/14473946130002204?institute=47BIBSYS_UBO&auth=SAML
Our case was closed last time (#05336252) but we are now moving to RDA standards, which makes it possible to record the “date of expression” in the marc subfield 240 $f.
Example in Primo with RDA standard: https://bibsys-almaprimo.hosted.exlibrisgroup.com/permalink/f/vo8oc9/BIBSYS_ILS71581188220002201
What we would need from Ex Libris in order to solve this problem is to add field 240 in Leganto so that it can be displayed in the full and brief display.

Hi Miriam,
I believe the drools will be helpful down the line but as far as I understand we need a Leganto-field to put this data in. We don't want to use an existing field as this new data is quite specific and would need its own label.
