Browse Shelf Listing - straight to edit!
If you click on a record in the list that appears when clicking Browse Shelf Listing (Alt+C) while in MDE, the record immediately opens in MDE for editing. This is not necessary and confusing because for example when you click on a record after clicking Find Matches (Ctrl+M) you get the option of View or Edit. Same should apply to Browse Shelf Listing (Alt+C)

I want to reword this for clarity-- From Browse Shelf Listing, present options to view or edit records, OR default to opening in view-only. Opening the record in edit mode makes it necessary to then release the record later.

Sometimes I just want to examine a record identified in the shelflist Browse, and if I don't need to edit it, I don't want to have to take the extra step to release it.
