Create a way to distinguish volumes for a single title
There is a title in Gale resources, Encyclopedia of African-American culture and history : the Black experience in the Americas, that has several portfolios available. Each portfolio links to a different volume in Gale. Each portfolio has unique linking but if you see the title in Primo, you will see only the title listed, many times. I had to add a volume note to each portfolio so users could tell each title apart. This was not the only title I've found that is like this. Ex Libris stated there is no way to add the volume to the title. It was a lot of work tracking down the volume numbers. It would be nice if there was a way to display a volume number for issues similar to this.

Hello,
This will require some development, since currently there is no automated way to identify the relevant information and add it to the portfolios.
We will look into the development options we have, and will update once we have a timeline.

Hello,
After reviewing the idea with the content and Alma teams, it seems that we will not be able to use the Public Note due to inability to managing updates while refraining from overriding any local data.
This will be transferred to the Alma forum for further consideration.
Kind regards,

Hello,
Thanks for supporting this idea.
I see that some of the local solutions rely on the Public Note for the portfolios.
Is the portfolio coverage option also used locally to display volume information?
We would be happy to learn of any local solution you are currently using for this issue.
Thanks,

Hi,
This is a very important development for CZ collections with multi-volume titles . In these collections, 1 bib is connected to several portfolios, linking to separate volumes \ units.
Currently, users in Primo see a list of links without knowing on which to click to reach the relevant volume, and this causes confusion and requires the libraries to enter the volume information manually into the portfolio public note fields.
We would like Providers who can supply this data on a portfolio-level to be able to do so, and include the distinction for the users' benefits.
Thank you,
