Internal data and all non-fulfillment data deleted from external account when accounts are loaded from external system through API
Updating users from an external source (such as Banner) using the API means that any non-fulfillment information will be deleted such as Roles (the only role left is the Patron role), barcodes, alternate addresses, emails, phone numbers, fines/fees, blocks, attachments, proxy information.
Would it be possible to make sure that an account's update from Banner through the API only affects the fields supported by Banner without wiping off any other fields?

While we initially hoped it might align with broader needs, the idea has not gained the traction we typically look for to prioritize development. As a result, it’s unlikely to be pursued in the foreseeable future.
