Toggle Provenance Codes for Display
I'd like to propose an enhancement that allows provenance codes to be disabled/hidden instead of exclusively being deleted when they are no longer needed.
Currently, provenance codes can't be "hidden" from selection if they are no longer needed. Once a provenance code is not used, it can only be deleted and then any items with that code previously assigned are left with a single character from the code and "not listed".
We use provenance codes to note grant-funded resources, but once the grant is used up, we'd like to remove the provenance code option so it doesn't clutter up the list or accidentally be selected. Instead of deleting a code, we'd like to be able to just disable/hide it from the dropdown menu.
