EOD match method improvement: Print book orders via EOD are attached to the electronic bibliography.
Alma is unable to distinguish between electronic and physical bibliographies in NZ when ordering via EOD.
This has caused a problem with print book orders being attached to electronic bibliographies when only NZ has a bibliography.
If the library has an inventory in the IZ, we can work around this issue with the following setting.
Single match - match only record with the same inventory type (electronic/physical)
This function cannot determine whether it is electronic or physical without an inventory.
We consider it incomplete as a function because it cannot be distinguished at the bibliographic level.
There are two proposed solutions to this problem.
Both are the addition of a match profile setting.
Make it possible to designate ISBN tags.
The current specification of EOD's ISBN matching method does not allow us to designate ISBN tag.
Enabling the specification of the ISBN tag may solve this problem.
For example, we could use the ISBN match method to specify the tag for 020.Excluding tag with specific wording from Bib matching
If we can exclude certain words from the Bib matching when the tag contains certain words, we may be able to solve the problem.
For example, Tag 035 contains "CKB" in the case of an electronic bibliography.
If Tag 035 contains the word "CKB", it can be excluded from Bib matching.
