Converting Digitization request to RS request - The RS request should show this on the first page rather than in the notes section
When converting a digitization request to a resource sharing borrowing request. Currently this is only shown in the notes section. This means interlibrary staff have to do an extra click to see whether the request is a conversion from a digitization. it would be better if this was shown on the first page. So that interlibrary staff can deal with this type of request differently, as it has already been triaged by other library staff.

Yes we are using these Rules. However, the ideas exchange request is for our doc del staff to visible see the fact that the item is from a Hold or Digitization request in Alma on the first page of the borrowing request, rather than in the notes field (which is an extra click).

Are you using the 'Send Borrower Request Rules' to automatically send requests ? These rules enable pushing borrower requests automatically on to their lenders via Rapid or BLDSS or as peer to peer requests. Th rules can be configured to stop converted requests from flowing on automatically, so that manual handling of the requests be done before they are sent off.
Thanks,

We currently receive the bulk of Resource Sharing Requests from a online custom form that the systems team have built. This form is made so that all fields are filled in and the Doc Del team don't need to make many checks on requests. And the request can go straight into the RapidIll or BLDSS API. However, requests converted from digitization requests need a few major check to make sure they can go into the RapidIll or BLDSS API without any issues. As mentioned in other ideas exchange requests there are issues with Alternative address, pickup location. Therefore it is useful for our Doc Del team to be able to easily separate and see which RS borrowing requests have been converted from digitization requests. Rather than having to click through and back from the notes tab.

Can you elaborate on why different processing of converted requests would be necessary ? How are they different from non-converted requests ?
Thanks,
