Add Day or Week embargo option
When setting Coverage Information, current embargo options are to enter a number of months or years. Some publishers have a 2 week, or 14 day embargo; we cannot enter embargo information for these. Adding a Day and/or Week option would allow this information to be added.
Hi all,
we're researching the technical background of this idea and wanted to verify whether adding an 'embargo days' option will be sufficient here, in addition to the existing months and years option
thanks, Liza

I think such an option should be a standard functionality, if you have to set a coverage information. Dear ExLibris, please make this possible.

I also support this optionality

This would be very useful for newspaper collections in particular. As some publishers calculate embargo not by time but by issues, it would also be very useful, if the embargo could be set as eg. "last 2 volumes", "last threee issues". This is especially needed, for irregular publishing dates or when a long time passes between the publishing of two issues.

We consider this also as very important for newspaper collections where an embargo of days of weeks is very common.

This improvement is particularly important for newspaper collections, where you sometimes only have access to the last 7 days of the newspaper.
Ex Libris itself offers such collections in the CZ and the embargo information is then missing or cannot be displayed correctly. -

Agreed. Carleton would also really appreciate day and week options.

A day and/or week embargo option would really help us and our users very much -- we have some newspapers with current issue only access, and it's impossible for us to indicate accurate coverage with current settings.
