The Internal Identifier number automatically assigned to Borrowing Requests once they are sent to partner is long and cumbersome
The number is quite long and my team is having difficulty managing it when looking up requests or spotting it on the in-tray. We've noticed that the first two letters and the final seven are always the same, with the unique identifying numbers in the middle. I'm not sure what the numbers mean, if the stable numbers identify our institution or similar, but could a couple dashes be added?
i.e. 33-1008366-0002761 instead of 3310083660002761
Either that or can the Internal Identifier search could be made into a fuzzy/variant search so my team could just search for the seven unique middle numbers?
