Closed Library Due Date Management language update
For the Closed Library Due Date Management policy, the value of "Move Backward-Move to end of previous open day" does NOT accurately describe what this setting actually does for hourly short loans. Why can't the value simply say, "Move due time to upcoming close time" or "Move to end of the same open day". No one is going to WANT to choose to move the due time to the actual PREVIOUS open day...that day is in the past.
Here was our scenario...we had items on reserve in our Short Loan Fulfillment Unit which had a 4 hour loan period. We chose the policy name " Move Due Time to Upcoming Closing Time" but the value for that parameter had inadvertently been configured wrong. However, when we saw the options, it was not clear that we should choose the "Move Backward" option as it makes no logical sense that you would use the parameter that "move[s] to end of previous open day", when you actually WANT the parameter to move the due time to the closing time for the SAME day. So, we suggest this "Value" be edited to read: Move due time to upcoming closing time.
Thank you.
