calendar
Is it possible to help cut down on data entry within the calendar? For example, I run a 24/5 schedule (which looks like open 00:00 - 23:59). When I want to have exceptions where I reduce hours for the short time between semesters, I have to set up 2 exceptions for each day of the break which can last one to two weeks. If Monday is regularly what I wrote above, I need Monday exception #1 to be closed from 00:00 - 7:59 and Monday exception #2 to be closed from 23:00 - 23:59. This shows that my open hours for that exceptional day is 8am-11pm.
I propose an option to just have the exception of whatever my open hours are to override the days normal hours. Not just that I have to say we are closed at the beginning of our normal hours and closed at the end of our normal hours.

I know you can use a date range for the morning opening exceptions and another for the evening closing exceptions. I am considering leaving the opening times alone, and just doing closings so reserves can go out overnight.
But I REALLY would prefer to enter the real open hours. Our Fall and Spring semesters are 24/5 too.

Similarly, our library also has completely different open hours during the summer. The proposed idea of setting the exception to be the scheduled open hours for the day(s) would be easier.
Or, would it be possible to be able to set up more than one set of standard operating hours with a start and end date for each--just like is possible for the exceptions?
The default where the SOPs expire after 3 years isn't helpful when open hours vary seasonally which is the case for many academic libraries.
