add 'append fields to a record' functionality
In Aleph, we used a lot the job p-manage-18 (load Aleph sequential record format) with the parameter: Update current records in the database - Append fields to a record.
This is no longer possible in Alma, I can only overwrite a record completely, but not add fields to a existing record.
The only way at the moment is to export an existing record (to MarcEdit for example), add the new fields there manually, and import the record again.
Usually, we have to add up to 100 new metadata fields per record, and they are all different per record, therefore I cannot use a normalization rule. So it takes me quite a while to complete this task manually, it was much easier with p-manage-18 in Aleph.
