Alter the setting for the encumbrance and disencumbrance timestamps in Alma from the current procedure of tying the disencumberance to the encumbrance date plus one millisecond.
We would much prefer the timestamp to reflect the actual date the transaction took place.

Thanks for this input. When we developed Alma in this area, we decided upon this approach which could be described as 'encumbrance centric'. One of its advantages is that it makes it easy to view and understand exactly what was encumbered and what is still remaining to be expended.
The suggested idea, which is a different model, could be described as 'expenditure centric'. While it too has certain advantages, the current approach used by Alma is the one we will continue with.
