Allow due date after patron expiry date
Please allow an operator to override the due date of an item, to set it to a date after the patron's expiry date. I can see some situations in which this might be necessary.

Free text input option for Rep Label in Global representation Changes job
Currently there is no option to remove Rep Label or create a rule that can make it void on the "Global Representation Changes" job. Please provide with Free text input option for Rep Label in Global representation Changes job, like Public Note.

- Empty
- Constant string

- Regular expression on BIB field
Label can either be set manually in representation resource editor or via batch job.

Allow more then 5 Digital Resource Copyright Declarations
By now Digital Resource Copyright Declarations are limited to 5 declarations. This is not enough and not even covering all CC licenses. There should be an unlimited number of copyrights or at least 20.

Digital copyright statements were separated from the general copyright declarations and now has its own page: Copyright Statements – Digital.
The out-of-the-box set of boilerplate copyright statements now includes all Creative Commons licenses, Rightsstatements, and US Code. These statements are view-only and are available in the Boilerplate section of the page.
A new Custom section is available on the Copyright Statements – Digital page where you can add an unlimited number of custom made copyright statements. -
The issue of generating 008 filed in MARC 21 Bib
While creating a new MARC 21 bib record, Alma generates the 008 automatically, such as "191126s2013####xx######r#####000#0#eng#d"
The value in position 7-10 is a fixed date "2013". We would like the position 7-10 can be customized and retrieved from 264$c or 260$c.4 votesMARC21 OTB template of Books/Computer Files/Maps/Music, field 008 positions 7-11 had the year 2013. This was modified to the current year 2021.

Add Authority records data to Analytics
It is very necessary to obtain productivity reports about the amount of authority record created in a period and the user who created that record. Also, to know how many LOCAL authority records exist by type (names, subjects, subdivisions, etc.)

Push Requests to ILLiad should include comments in the resource sharing request.
Referring to the new feature in Alma Nov (2019) release, the new feature for pushing resource sharing request to ILLiad via API lacks some important features to make it useful.
Most importantly, comments in the Resource Sharing request did not pass over to ILLiad. This feature exists when using email to push request to ILLiad. It's missing when using API.I would hope you could improve using API to push requests to ILLiad and make it feature parity using email method.

We expect UNIMARC and CNMARC tag 100 could be treated as a Control Field in NRs like MARC 008 field.
We have an issue with UNIMARC/CNMARC field 100 which is not considered as Control Field when using Normalization Rules
The current incorrect behavior is that the UNIMARC/CNMARC tag 100 cannot be changed using a NR for "replaceControlContents" - "Failed during compilation of drools files". Changing the NR to "replaceContents" produces no error but is not working (as 100 is a Control Field)
We expect UNIMARC and CNMARC tag 100 could be treated as a Control Field in NRs like MARC 008 field.7 votesA new function was added to enhance the Alma DROOLS to support the normalization of UNIMARC and CNMARC 1XX fixed position fields. As a result of the enhancement, UNIMARC and CNMARC tag 1XX are treated as Control Fields in Normalization Rules and no error messages are displayed.

Letters Configuration page should be sortable and searchable
I like the new Letters Configuration and Components Configuration pages; they've simplified the letter customization work I am doing for our two libraries.
However, the Letters Configuration page is a bit too unwieldy... requiring a lot of paging and scrolling to find a specific letter.
Please consider making this page sortable by clicking the column headers, and if it's not too difficult, maybe even searchable?

We would like to add the "primary identifier" to the export list of the user set.
We will use the excel file with "primary identifier" to establish the User set, but not all the primary identifier can be loaded into the user set. So
We would like to add the "primary identifier" to the export list of the user set in order that we could know which primary identifier can not be loaded into the User set.198 votesIt is now possible to include primary identifiers as part of the exported list when using Alma's Export option from the user list. An Extended Export option will generate an Excel file similar to the existing "all fields" export, adding the primary ID as a column.

The LDR of the bib and holdings record needs to be indexed for reporting in Analytics at the very least as a Local Param.
We have a large withdrawal project involving thousands of books. We do not want to delete them in Alma. We want to change the location in the holdings record to Withdrawn, suppress the bib and holdings record, and change the LDR Record Status (5th position) to "d." This is a MARC standard and must be done in order to export these records later to various entities (such as the statewide library database used for ILL) so they can delete them from their copy of our database. The LDR value is what they use to indicate a bib or holding record…

Add column for printout queue to Printers Configuration screen
Please add a column to the Printers Configuration screen so that users can immediately see that which printers are printout queues.

Please make the new Print Queue available to Fulfilment Operators
The Print Queue is a great addition to ALMA but only having it available to Fulfilment Administrator is difficult. We would love you to make the print queue available to Fulfilment Mangagers and Fulfilment Operators. This would significantly improve it's efficiency.

Removing old collection/overlap analysis reports
It would be great if we could remove old collection/overlap analysis reports. There are a couple that we had run by accident or no longer need. we would like to keep this area of Alma neat.
1 voteThis functionality was introduced in the new Overlap Analysis tool that was released in March 2022 Alma Release. In the new Overlap Analysis tool, reports can be removed from the reports history list.

Support R5 Counter
Some of the major vendors are going to stop support R4 counter and in effect breaking your usage statistics automation (SUSHI)...
START NOW supporting R5 counters3 votesAs of January release Alma will be fully compliant with COUNTER release 5. COUNTER Release 4 will continue to be supported along with COUNTER release 5. This is the case for both Alma as well Alma Analytics. The metadata editor is not friendly for editing the bibliographic record
It would be advisable to improve the visualization of the complete record; also that the cursor should be more precise when completing the indicators of each field; that the spaces between the subfields should be more clearly seen, etc, etc

Please change the permission of .xml in tar.gz published from Alma from mode 0060 to 0664 or 0644. This allows Unix users to access extracted xml immediately without changing the permission on the filesystem level.

Add Preferred Names fields to the Users subject area in Analytics
Add Preferred Names fields to the USERS subject areas section - Preferred Contact Information or Users Details in Analytics.
We need to be able to troubleshoot problems with data entry.
Students have entered stray characters while typing and filed the records not noticing. When the record is searched, the stray characters or incorrect information shows up in the search results, confusing circ desk user.We've had cases of the preferred names fields populating with staff user names when they weren't typed in, causing staff person to get notices meant for the person on the record.

9 votesThe Preferred First Name, Preferred Middle Name, and Preferred Last Name fields were added in all dimensions where the First Name, Middle Name, and Last Name fields appear. They contain the preferred name of the user.

More search indexes in Advanced Search
Please enable search indexes such as 'Is not empty', 'Not contains', 'Not contains phrase', 'Not equal' search logic to as many search indexes as possible, especially for DC fields of Digital titles.

Allow personal delivery requests to be converted to resource sharing requsts
Currently, Alma does not allow personal delivery requests to be converted to resource sharing requests. Library staff have to change the pickup location from personal delivery to a physical library, convert the request to a resource sharing request, and then change the pickup location back to Personal Delivery. Can this be changed so staff can convert personal delivery requests to resource sharing requests without having to change the pickup location?
29 votesAs of Alma July release institutions can convert ‘Hold’ requests to ‘Resource Sharing’ requests if the pick-up location is personal delivery and the resource sharing library supports personal delivery.
