Add Notification Function for Changing Email Address
Admins need the notification when a user changes his/her email address in order to check the email address domain or other things.

Sentence Casing - stop words
It would be extremely helpful if RefWorks could have an easy to use function to specify certain words not to be changed when using 'Sentence Casing’.
If some frequently used words and names were built into RW e.g. America, China etc. so that user did not have to do anything for them, that would be even better. Possibly making that customisable by admin at a site level as well as by individuals would be even better.
Many thanks

Help keeping the consistency of author's names I. Help in typing the name.
Legacy Refworks had a very useful feature. When you were typing an author's name at the respective field the system prompted you to use some of the names you already had in your database. This helped you to have the same author always with the same name, avoiding unnecesary typos and different versions of the same author ¿Could it be possibe to recover this feature in the new Refworks?

Move the URL field to the top of the citation record preview screen
Currently, the link resolver "Check for Full Text" field appears at the very top of the citation record preview screen. However, the URL field appears near the bottom of a citation preview record. For certain publication types, especially grey literature, the link resolver links perform poorly. It would be ideal if the URL field appeared near the top of the record with the link resolver field to ensure end users discover it.

Please bring back "My List" to the new RefWorks
Please bring back the "My List" function from legacy RefWorks. I realize you can create reference lists from folders or projects or if all the references you need appear on a single page (e.g., what you've just imported). But, what is missing is a way to create a temporary list of references you are working with without having to put them into another folder or project. For example, if you've written your paper and just need to add those last handful of references, there is no longer an efficient way to create that list while navigating between different pages and…

Extension for browser
The save to RefWorks button has never worked for me or anyone at my school due to the blocks in place that can't be removed on computers for ads, cookies and other restrictions. A browser extension through the Chrome web store would help to solve this issue as it would be about acquiring permissions rather than relying on there not being any permissions to bypass. As is the nature of an application that reads the website and its data and extracts information many companies have been increasing the security of websites to prevent hacking but this inadvertently impacts programs such…

Notification when Share folder is accepted
Send the folder Owner a notification or unflag my folder, when the Share recipient accepts the Share / views the folder.
Currently, we have no idea whether the recipient has Accepted the Share, or opened / viewed the folder. Ideally, the shared folder could be flagged as "share pending" until the recipient has accepted or viewed it.8 votes -
Create a reference based on a URL
A user can input a doi and refworks will grab the citation data. Why isn't the possible for a URL for a website or video? The bookmarklet frequently doesn't work and this would give another way to get the data into refworks.

Add a feature in "manage projects" to hide or group projects
Add a feature in "manage projects" to hide or group projects. Our instructors have a long list of projects that students have invited them to that they'd like to organize into current and archived areas to more easily navigate.

RefWorks Statistics - referencing/citation style being used
If possible please include stats on what referencing/citation style our users are using in refworks (and if possible in WnC).
Reasons : to help us have a better idea of what our users are actually using and catch those areas using other styles that we are aware of.

Allow successive folder assignments
After successfully adding select citations from a list of records to a 1st folder, allow the user to go through the list again to pick other citations to add to other folders. Currently the "apply" button doesn't show up again until you refresh the page.
My particular use case is systematic review screening. I go through a page of results selecting those I want to move to an "include" folder. Then I want to toggle the check boxes and add the others to an "exclude folder". I'd need to refresh the page to get the "apply" button back, loosing the…

Request for a Feature to View Citation Styles and Output Results in a List
On the "Create Bibliography" screen, it was previously possible to view the list of Citation styles in alphabetical order. Now, it seems that the list only appears after entering a search term.
I would appreciate it if there were a way to view the style names and their output results in a list without entering a search term.5 votes -
Be able to merge duplicate references
I think it would be very useful that when Refworks detects duplicates, these references can be merged. In addition to could choose what information save from each of them. Sometimes the firsth reference has the DOI but not the pdf, second reference has the pdf but does not have author information correctly entered, etc.

Request for Integration between Gakunin RDM and RefWorks
We would like to request the integration of RefWorks with Gakunin RDM, the research data management system provided by the National Institute of Informatics.
https://support.rdm.nii.ac.jp/about/For example, Gakunin RDM is currently integrated with another reference management tool, Mendeley. By enabling the Mendeley add-on in Gakunin RDM and authenticating with a Mendeley account, users can display the bibliographic data of references stored in Mendeley within the Gakunin RDM platform.
Users can also copy citations, and if the Mendeley data includes links, they can access the original data directly.5 votes -
Quick cite
On the old Refworks, one can easily search for multiple references across folders, insert them in the pop up and paste over to inside the body of the document being worked on, and then upload the document to format both the in-text citations and create a final reference list. However, this functionality appears lost in the new Refworks - the pop-up quick cite does not display all references but only 50 at a time, and when one needs to select multiple references to insert as citations and scrolls to the next page, the references copied on the previous pages disappear.…

Create bibliography from folder (including subfolders)
If the option currently exists, I've been unable to find it. I have references for a project separated into folders (instead of tagging) under a root folder and would like to create a bibliography including all references within the folder and subfolders at once so they are in the correct order.

folder lock
Have an option to lock certain folders which prohibits articles being deleted from them. Would help from accidentally losing files.

Make the PDF reader open in a new tab
When reading a PDF from a reference, the reference list becomes unavailable. It would be good to be able to continue to consult the reference list while a PDF is open.
Also, when we click back from the PDF reader, we get taken back to the default/start view rather than where we were when we clicked on the PDF link, which means we need to navigate/scroll around to pick up where we left off.

Add 'starts with' option for bulk edit/replace
This would be useful for managing DOIs; DOIs may be imported with no linking prefix or with an out-dated linking prefix and may also pick up unwanted information such as a proxy component to links. Currently bulk edit allows for the removal of outdated and unwanted elements with confidence. This then leaves a basic DOI. A 'starts with' bulk edit option would make it easier to add in the correct prefix only where it is wanted.
This is preferable to using a referencing style to add in the prefix (EG APA 7th - Sentence Casing, DOI: https://doi.org/) as this…

Allow an option to write and read the folder a reference is stored in. This could be an RIS extension or use folder name as key word.
It would be convenient to have the folder structure in a Refworks collection of references able to be exported as an RIS file and then read the RIS file back in with the folder structure fully restored. This could be implemented as an RIS extension with a new record type storing the folder or can function within RIS by treating the folder name preceded by a specified text string indicating that the key word is actually a folder. For example, an extension would be creating a new record type such as FF for file folder and code the folder name…
