  2. apa

    Enable the ability to add page numbers to APA in WNC. I don't understand why this has never been fixed, and why no effort has been expended to fix it. As it is I'm still recommending students who use APA to use Endnote instead.

  4. Allow users to change the interface language in public shared folders

    Currently, the interface for public shared folders is only available in English. Please allow the ability to change the language (particularly French).

  5. Allow quick import of public shared folder into user's own RefWorks account

    If a user wants to add a public shared folder into their own account, they need to export into a RIS file and import the RIS file into their own account, which takes many steps. It would be helpful to have a quicker way to import a public shared folder. This functioned previously existed in Legacy RefWorks; there was an "add to account" button or something like that.

  7. Font size of in-text citations

    When using the word add-in it would be preferable if the intext citations auto populate into the document at the same font size as the rest of the text.

    Currently I have to manually change the font size of I text citations. Every time a new citation is placed or ref works refreshes it changes the already placed citations back into the standard font size 11

    This could be achieved by the user setting their preferred font size via the settings of the reworks add in.

  8. Search Option in Reference Citation Manager

    I would like to bring to your attention about a critical issue regarding the search function in Reference Citation Manager (RCM). We have encountered a problem that it is unable to retrieve relevant article records when searching for separate keywords of a title in RCM.

    It was also discovered that RCM does not provide an “Advanced” search function, compared with RefWorks interface. Considering our testing and comparison with the RefWorks interface, it is apparent that RCM lacks the necessary functionality to support advanced searching. Users are unable to retrieve relevant records unless they specifically type joint words, which is impractical…

  9. Search Option in RefWorks

    We checked with the RefWorks Support Centre regarding the basic search option settings. The search always prioritizes the joint word over the two separate keywords. To search for the two separate keywords from the title, we need to use the "Advanced Search" option as it provides better refinement of results. Searching for two separate words may not locate such record. However, from the users' perspective, we will simply select some major keywords instead of typing the joint words together every time. Additionally, we will not interpret "Advanced Search" as a search for separate words. Therefore, we believe that there is…

  10. improve the spacing of text (particularly abstracts) on refworks site

    The text in the abstracts on Refworks is very scrunched up, making it difficult to review the abstracts on screen. Please can there be some way to adjust this or made to 1.15 spacing as a default.

  12. Make save button more prominent

    It would be great if the save button on the reference information editing screen was more prominent. For example, it could be a different color, like blue. Right now it is hard to find and I accidentally click the x button at the top instead, which means I lose my work. You could also add a window that asks if you want to save when you click the x button. Thank you.

  14. Add "Last Month" short cut in Refworks Analytics

    In the RefWorks Analytics interface in Admin, the default option for time is "This month", "This year", "Last 12 month" and "Custom". It would be very convenient to add an option for "Last Month".

  15. Match Custom style reference types to default drop-down list

    We are rationalising our reference types on our custom style. In the citation style editor there is an option to delete reference types, which I have used. This means I have only set a custom for a dozen or so reference types.
    However, when we import and edit references, the drop-down list of reference types does not match our custom style: it remains the default list. This will lead our users to select reference types that have not been custom-set to match our style guide and errors in our bibliographies.

  16. Make the PDF reader open in a new tab

    When reading a PDF from a reference, the reference list becomes unavailable. It would be good to be able to continue to consult the reference list while a PDF is open.

    Also, when we click back from the PDF reader, we get taken back to the default/start view rather than where we were when we clicked on the PDF link, which means we need to navigate/scroll around to pick up where we left off.

  18. Improve output of Japanese authors' names

    Some of Japanese author guidelines requires authors to remove spaces between first and last name.
    To remove spaces between first and last name, I need to edit records.
    If I remove the comma between the first and last name on the Edit screen of record, the space will be removed when the reference list is output.
    However, with this setting, in-text citations are not output correctly.
    I want to output only the last name, but the full name is output.

  19. add display scopes to the dropdown in all citation style list

    In 'All styles' page, only 17 citations are displayed and the user has to click page number to look through all styles list.

    Path: 'Create Bibliography' > 'Citation Style Editor'

    Please add display scopes to the dropdown same as the one in display option(references per page) from main page.

    For example,
    scale 25 to 1000 citation styles per page.

  20. Create a reference based on a URL

    A user can input a doi and refworks will grab the citation data. Why isn't the possible for a URL for a website or video? The bookmarklet frequently doesn't work and this would give another way to get the data into refworks.
