Allow an option to write and read the folder a reference is stored in. This could be an RIS extension or use folder name as key word.
It would be convenient to have the folder structure in a Refworks collection of references able to be exported as an RIS file and then read the RIS file back in with the folder structure fully restored. This could be implemented as an RIS extension with a new record type storing the folder or can function within RIS by treating the folder name preceded by a specified text string indicating that the key word is actually a folder. For example, an extension would be creating a new record type such as FF for file folder and code the folder name…

Add 'starts with' option for bulk edit/replace
This would be useful for managing DOIs; DOIs may be imported with no linking prefix or with an out-dated linking prefix and may also pick up unwanted information such as a proxy component to links. Currently bulk edit allows for the removal of outdated and unwanted elements with confidence. This then leaves a basic DOI. A 'starts with' bulk edit option would make it easier to add in the correct prefix only where it is wanted.
This is preferable to using a referencing style to add in the prefix (EG APA 7th - Sentence Casing, DOI: https://doi.org/) as this…

Allow quick import of public shared folder into user's own RefWorks account
If a user wants to add a public shared folder into their own account, they need to export into a RIS file and import the RIS file into their own account, which takes many steps. It would be helpful to have a quicker way to import a public shared folder. This functioned previously existed in Legacy RefWorks; there was an "add to account" button or something like that.

Reference editing - Increase the sidebar window size
My suggestion is for the referenced editing sidebar window. Can we increase the size of this side window? Why not give the user more room to see and view what they are editing? I know for myself, I'd like to have the ability to increase or decrease the width of the edit sidebar window.

Import from text file
It would be helpful if the new RefWorks would provide the ability to insert text into an import page, as is possible in Legacy.

Fix discrepancy in handling of 'retrieved' date
In Edit record mode, 'Date retrieved' is a single uncontrolled text string. In Output Style editor, this data is split across two elements 'Retrieved (month/day)' and 'Retrieved (year)'. This means you risk ending up either with incomplete retrieved dates or with a repeat of the retrieval year in the citation output, depending on how the data is stored. Can these different data components by standardized, so that retrieval data is handled consistently?

Hi, I would really like an option to add favourites or pin certain references in the refworks citation manager in Word.
Hi, I would really like an option to 'add favourites' or pin references in the RefWorks citation manager in Word. It would be easily accessible, and you won't need to scroll all the way down or type in the name every time you cite a source you often use.

Include ISSN/ISBN in Publication admin analytics
Add ISSN/ISBN column to the reports when downloaded. This will better enable librarians to use this data to analyze their collections, a common reason for having these reports at all. This may cause splintering of counts if users imported different ISNs for the same title (especially print vs e) but it would be worth that side effect to have the data. If you can provide separate print and e columns that would be ideal.

RCM in Google presentations
Hello,
it would be very interesting to have the option of using RCM in the presentations created in Drive (similar to GoogleDocs but in PowerPoint format).
This way, teachers that usually prepare their classes in the powewrpoint format, and could be able to insert citations and create a bibliography of those citations in the same document they will use in class for teaching.
Many thanks in advance!
1 voteThank you for this submission. We will consider this idea in future development. Until this is possible, we recommend creating formatted in-text citations and bibliography to insert into presentation by using our Quick Cite feature: https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/RefWorks/Product_Documentation/RefWorks_User_Guide/0400_Managing_References#Copying_References_from_RefWorks_to_Your_Document

Ordering of references in folders compared to in Bibliography
Please can it be made possible to order references in a folder in the same order as a bibliography.
I wanted to view the references in a Refworks folder in the same order that they were supplied by the bibliography function.
I tried ordering them in the folder by "publication date" but this didn't seem to provide the same order.1 vote -

PLEASE develop an integration with LiquidText.
Please add a LiquidText integration for RefWorks or vice versa. LiquidText is an excellent notetaking app and it would be wonderful to be able to use them seamlessly together.

Request to Add IP-Based Restrictions for Account Creation
I would like to request two improvements to the account creation settings in RefWorks:
- The ability to restrict account creation by IP address.
- The option to require both an approved IP address and an approved email domain for account creation.
These features would help improve security and limit access to authorized users only. I hope you will consider adding them in future updates.
Thank you.

Add Bulk Tagging and Tag Management Tools
It would be helpful to have a bulk tagging feature in RefWorks. Currently, adding tags to multiple references is time-consuming as it has to be done individually. Adding the ability to select multiple items and apply or remove tags in bulk would streamline organization. Additionally, a tag management page where users can view, rename, merge, or delete existing tags would improve usability and reference organization, especially for large libraries.

Deletion of multiple tags.
I would like to request a feature that allows the deletion of multiple tags from all references at once. This would help streamline the process of managing tags efficiently.
