How can we improve Alma?

Request letter

We would like to be able to send a user a notification about a request immediately after placing the request. The notice would give basic information about the status of the request. Something along the lines of the "interested in" letter. Running a request report once a day is insufficient for our operations.

    Per ExL support, there is no way to send a confirmation email to a patron immediately after they place a request on a local item. You can send a confirmation email to a patron for an ILL request. I would like to make that option available to our patrons.

    I agree with this idea, It would be very useful. It should be like the "Resource Sharing Request Confirmation Letter"

    Hello,
    Very important for us also.
    In Aleph we had a letter that was sent automatically and immediately when a patron ordered a loaned item.
    Alma don't contains this ability, so out patrons don't know they need to wait till the book will return from the first patron.
