Ability to search non-english (especially Scandinavian) characters in local data and CDI data in a consistent way
A growing number of Central Discovery Index (CDI) sources contain the original non-english characters for specific languages, e.g. Scandinavian (Danish, Norwegian, Swedish) letters such as æ,ä, ø, ö and å. Searching the original Scandinavian letters works for both local and CDI data. However, searching non-English letters are cumbersome for foreign users. There are different ways to anglicize these characters. The traditional Scandinavian way is to use a "folded variant": "ä" -> "ae", "ö" -> "oe", etc. However, this only works for local data (institution zone). CDI use the method of simply removing the dots: "ä" -> "a", "ö" -> "o",…

Request forms for Booking request and hold request in Primo VE each need their own template
In Primo VE the booking request form uses the same template as the (hold) physical request. The info message (form description) is the same… However, we would need to have a different form description, as we have right now in Primo Classic. In our institution, instructions for booking requests are very different! Because of this different functionality, we hope a solution can be found to give a different user guidance for both types of requests.

Extend subject heading display masking to CDI records
Like many other institutions, we have used the subject display normalization rules for display to mask offensive subject headings with more preferable terms.
However, these changes do not impact the CDI records. We would like to see the changes we made in the subject display masking apply to the CDI records, whether through the same rule or through a new configuration option specific to CDI.
For reference: If anyone is interested in our documentation to see examples, it's available here: https://connect.library.utoronto.ca/display/CAUG/Subject+Masking+-+Go+Live

Journal coverage: show more label if there is more than one embargo
Since November 2021 journal coverage is shown in brief results (https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Primo/Release_Notes/002Primo_VE/2021/010Primo_VE_2021_Release_Notes#Show_Journal_Coverage_Dates_in_Brief_Results_and_Journal_Search_).
This is very good, but there is one rule that is not the best solution. It is stated: "Coverage information may include a single embargo, and if multiple embargoes exist, only one of them will appear in the coverage."
Now, embargoes of different portfolios may contradict each other. So, if the user only see the first one, he may erraneously believe he has no access. Therefore, as soon as there is more than one embargo, the more label should get added to the journal coverage in the…10 votes -
Request physical book when e-book is also available at home or other libraries
No request or resource sharing option is available when the home library has an e-book. There are many scenarios where a patron may need a physical book and they should have the ability to request one from Primo.

Separate the Primo My Account Update Login Credentials form into two different forms for PIN code and Password
As a user, I would like to have two different forms for Pincode update and Password update (Update Login Credentials in My Account > Personal Settings) so I am sure that I can also change only one of the two. With the current design (=one form for PIN and password update), it is suggested to me that I always have to update both.

Add Reserves "Reading List" to facets navigation panel.
This would allow a clean up project for a multiple location library system. It would bring reserves more closely aligned with standard cataloging by basically using the Course as a high level catalog record (think bib level), Reading List as middle tier (holdings level shelving location). By combining the Course to one entry with the reading lists showing shelving, it would take our records from five courses and five reading lists per class offering to one course with five reading list. This would help clean up database space and form more consistency across locations.

unix-like tool for working with normalization rule sets
to compare two normalization role sets or for finding spezial references in a rule set we need some tools:
- to compare 2 rule sets we need a tool like the diff command in unix
- to find references to a (mapping) table or occurences of fields in a NR we need a tool like grep in unix

Primo - My Account : Differentiate normal loans & reading room loans
We would like it to be clear for a patron which loans he has at home and which loans are in the reading room. Currently in Primo, there is no differentiation between the two. Is there some way to do this in Alma and or Primo? Thanks

Allow combining of facets in the search results
Please create a way to view multiple physical library locations using the facets on the results page (e.g., see attached - General Collection and General Collection Oversize). Most electronic databases allows the user to hold down the CRTL key and select multiples, but that doesn't work in Primo. The 'Exclude' feature is nice, but it would be fabulous if Ex Libris could add an 'Include' feature. Please?

sorting gets lost when switching scopes
If a user sets the sorting of the result list, her predefined sorting gets lost on switching between search scopes. In this case, the sorting returns to the default, e.g. "by relevance".
We see this in the new UI as well, but think that users should not be forced to select their preferred sorting again and again.
Please consider this to enhance user experience.

Create a link for users to report an issue
There are some institutions that have added functionality where users can report a problem for a specific record. It would be great if this could be offered through Primo. Users would click on an icon to report their issue. In the back office, there would be the option to configure the url for the hyperlinked icon. It would be even better to add logic where you could configure the link in relation to the type of record (CZ, NZ, IZ). This builds on the idea on reporting an issue for CZ records.

Allow Barcode Copying in Primo
We would like to be able to have the barcode information not get automatically re-hidden so that we can copy barcodes from Primo. This would be particularly helpful for quick reference without having to enter Alma.

Best bets
Summon has a best bets feature which enables you to have links to Library Opening Hours if that's what someone searches for. Primo doesn't have this, so we are going backwards in customer service when we implement this. Please can you replace Primo with Summon or at least bring Primo up to the same standard?

Primo Central note field - include in export
In the new Primo Central Activation User Interface (Feb 2019 release) you can now add notes to Primo Central collections. Would it be possible for the notes field to be included in the export to excel?

My Favourites/ My Favorites: Drag and drop labels to saved items
It would be helpful to users if they could drag and drop existing labels to add them to records they've 'pinned' in My Favourites.
Once you have a large number of pinned items and labels drag and drop would be quicker and easier than opening the 'edit labels' block for each record.

Add feature to Primo services page to help users outside Primo find full text from PCI direct link collections
The Alma link resolver only returns results from the Alma repository, so it would be useful to add a feature to the Primo services page that would pull in results from Primo Central direct link collections too. Perhaps the feature could show a search results preview from the library’s Primo and format it like the bx service in an orderly side panel. Such a change would encourage users to search the library’s Primo before they resort to an ILL request or give up on looking for the item. Some full text content is exclusively available through PCI direct link collections,…

SRU Barcode
We would like SRU availability fields to include barcode. Barcode is a useful identifier for items. This addition would allow us to do things like get all the barcodes in a location and do an inventory.

Able to display electronic holding (coverage) statements in chronology sequence – from oldest to newest, instead of random order
We find that the autoload holding statements supplied by vendor ScienceDirect is in chronology sequence (from oldest to newest). But the display of multiple holding statements in Primo GetIT is random or not in sequence after the autoload of holding statements.
e.g. International journal of radiation oncology, biology, physics.
https://julac.hosted.exlibrisgroup.com/permalink/f/1m2sapd/HKPU_IZ51203553420003411
Holding statements should be display in chronology order so that user can easily identify which year we have accessing right, instead of browsing through all the holding statements. Can it be fixed?
