Add Transit Information to Analytics
In order to track materials traveling between libraries, it would be extremely helpful to have transit information such as Transit Date, Transit From, and Transit To included in analytics.

The physical item historical events subject area includes transit information of items between libraries. Thank you for your request "In order to track materials traveling between libraries, it would be extremely helpful to have transit information such as Transit Date, Transit From, and Transit To included in analytics."
This will be covered by a planned enhancement to Alma Analytics which is being done in conjunction with NERS (New Enhancements Request System – a joint collaboration between IGeLU and ELUNA). The specific request is # 3845 .
Ex Libris proposes to support the need to report on historical, item related queries by enhancing the system in the following way:1. Create an enhanced Events subject area which will be easier to report on and take into account that various events will be composed of multiple keys and parameters (e.g. an Item PID, Barcode, Transit From Library, Transit To Library)
2. The enhanced Events subject area will replace today’s existing Events subject area
3. Alma’s workflows and processes will be enhanced to generate the relevant events, per the list above. Specifically
a. Item Transit Event
b. Item Temporary location Event
c. Process Status change events
d. Work Order Dept. Status change events
4. The enhanced Events subject area could then be used to generate a query, which could either be used as an input into another report, or exported and used as input for itemized set creation purposes.
