Prompt message if you have not saved a record before releasing
Currently if you edit a record and then go to release it before you have saved, you do not get any kind of prompt asking if you want to release it without saving.
There is also no prompt message if you try to save a record that has blocks to let you know that the action was not done.

I agree with the comment from anonymous about automatically releasing a record when you "file" it since the working_copy_lock_timeout parameter cannot be adjusted any lower than 1 hour. So, I would add to this idea to release the record upon saving it.

I would go farther and do away with "save and release"altogether-- have this happen automatically when you "file" any record-- just click to file. I have no idea why Alma is set up in this very unusual way. Having to release records seems unnecessary and cumbersome-- and then you have to release it again in the side bar before anyone else can use the record? Either I am not getting this, or filing changes to records in Alma could be a whole lot simpler?
