Add Booking Type
We need to have a "booking type" so that we can categorize types of bookings. For instance, we have bookings that require use of equipment (such as our streaming media server). We'd like to be able to make categories to organize bookings (so a booking can be created in Alma with the category "streaming" for instance. We'd need to be able to create our own categories and then select them from the booking request screen.

Currently, the Alma booking module seems to be mainly RESOURCE-driven. One finds the item in the catalog then proceeds to book it. We see the benefit of making it FUNCTION-based as well that can cater to different booking needs for various services that Library provides. It can be used for booking media/equipment, viewing/meeting rooms, labs for library instruction... It can also be used to specify how an "item" can be delivered or picked up, i.e., electronically via a channel, over the network or will call in person... A "Booking Type" is a great way to organize/manage bookings, i.e., retrieve / sort /generate a list / compile report. Thank you for considering adding this augmentation.
