Add Publinova (SURF) to Summon
At the moment, Summon indexes the Dutch HBO Kennisbank, which includes theses and research publications from Dutch universities of applied sciences.
From January 2026, research publications will move to a new platform called Publinova, also managed by SURF (theses will stay in HBO Kennisbank).
To ensure continued discovery of Dutch applied research, please start indexing Publinova in Summon.
This will keep research publications from Dutch universities of applied sciences searchable and accessible to users.URL: www.publinova.nl

DL saved records as CSV/Excel files
Currently, search results can be sent by email in CSV format, but saved records can only be exported to citation management tools or sent by email. It would be convenient if saved records could also be downloaded as CSV or Excel files.

Include Alternate Publication Titles in Advanced Search "Publication Title" Searches
Some publications have both a local-language title and an English title. Currently, a publication may be retrieved when its English title is searched as a keyword, but the same publication is not retrieved when the English title is entered in the "Publication Title" field in Advanced Search.
We would like the "Publication Title" field in Advanced Search to search both primary and alternate publication titles, so that articles from the publications can be found regardless of which recognized title form users search with.

Add Person info card feature
Enable the 'Person Info Card' feature in Summon.
The option is already in production in Primo VE: https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Primo/Product_Documentation/020Primo_VE/Primo_VE_(English)/150End_User_Help/Searching_Linked_Open_Data_-_Person_Entity
For users it would be really helpful to display in the discovery the related information provided by the linked open data.

Usage Statistics for Summon Research Assistant
We would be very grateful if you could consider adding a usage reporting feature for the Summon Research Assistant in the near future.
We noticed in your documentation that there is a daily threshold of 10,000 searches per institution:
https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Summon/Product_Documentation/Searching_in_The_Summon_Service/Search_Features/Getting_Started_with_Summon_Research_Assistant#AI_Limitations_and_WarningsWhile we understand the need for this limit, we would find it very helpful if we could monitor our actual usage levels. Without visibility into these numbers, it is difficult for us to know how close we are to the limit, and we want to ensure that our researchers can use the service without any unexpected interruptions.
Furthermore, having a…

Summon Research Assistant via proxy
Integrate Summon Research Assistant (SRA) with a proxy client, such as EZproxy. Currently the only way for patrons to use SRA with a proxy client is by following the authentication banner link.
We don't use Microsoft or Google authentication and our federated SSO service is not supported. We don't require authentication for anything but RSA so we prefer not use the authentication banner.
It would be helpful if we could set up the RSA link button to redirect via proxy server (e.g. https://windesheim.idm.oclc.org/login?url=https://windesheim.summon.serialssolutions.com/#!/research_assistant?)
We now have a css file set up to display a proxified custom link based on…

Add source-package name to content ingestion report
Dear Summon Development,
If a Summon customer has multiple local record source packages, could you please include the source package in the content ingestion report so that they can be easily distinguished?
If there is no error in the report, they sometimes can't find out source-package easily.
Kind regards,

Prestige Attibele
It would be helpful if Summon provided more flexible search and filtering options for users researching specific topics, products, or projects. For example, users could benefit from clearer search results, better categorization of related ideas, and the ability to quickly find discussions containing specific terms. Improved navigation between related feedback and existing ideas could also make it easier to avoid duplicate submissions and discover relevant information. These improvements would make the platform more useful for users who regularly research and compare information before sharing feedback.

Simplifying the transfer of MARC records to Summon would be very appreciated.
The current "MFT authentication key-one time password-convert .txt to .ppk-use Puttygen to convert-use WinSCP, etc." process seems unnecessarily complicated to me. How about a file upload option in the Content Ingestion area of the admin console? Thank you.

Summon Client Center > Administration Console > Recommender.
We are updating the database recommendation descriptions for our institution. In our old Summon we could make changes via the Summon Client Center > Administration Console > Recommender.
Now that we have Summon over Alma, we have been making changes in Alma via Electronic Collection Editor.
We have noticed that changes to database names and database recommendation linking have been achieved this way. We also want to edit the database descriptions so that the changes are reflected in Summon.
We have attempted changes through the Electronic Collection Editor and the Electronic Service Editor but do not see any impact in…

The ability to edit eBook title and publication year metadata in 360.
Is it possible to give customers/librarians the ability to edit certain eBook metadata (title, publication year) ourselves in order to improve match and merge functionality. We have so many duplicate records because the metadata from 360 and Summon poor, titles and/or publication year are wrong, leading it to not merge with our catalog record. Is it possible to give the control to the Librarians to edit that metadata to allow for less duplicate records without having to put in Support tickets all the time to fix titles and pub years?
