Adding Mendeley as an Export Option for citations in Summon
I'd be interested to know (based on feedback from library colleagues and users at my institution) whether it's possible to add Mendeley to the list of Export Options for references in Summon.
I understand that Mendeley users can currently export from Summon in some form, but they need to have an additional tool (the Mendeley Web Importer bookmark) in place in order to do this.
Would it be possible to add this to the Export Options list so users can export references in the usual way? I understand this is already in place for other providers, e.g. Refworks, Zotero, Endnote…

Ability to filter results by format in Summon, e.g. search for books, articles etc.
As in Primo, provide a mechanism to allow users to search within specific indexes, e.g. to search books, journals, articles separately. This is particularly important when search results cannot be ranked as we would wish, e.g. journal articles before journal titles.

Facet search results by Custom Database Name
As to Database Facet, it is recommended to facet search results by "Custom Database Name" field instead of default "Database Name" field.

Linking correct URL: Ebook Central Perpetual and DDA (AABBV)
For some titles in this database not only one but several URLs are stored in the Client Center. Then the correct URL is not always selected and the link to the full text does not work correctly. Although the link leads to the Ebook Central platform and the correct title is opened, but access does not work. A message appears that this title is not available. Then the correct URL must be added manually in the Client Center as "User-specific URL". Work can be saved and processes simplified if the workflow is set to automatically use the correct URL of…

Display parallel titles in Summon
The correction in Summon to index parallel titles as titles (instead of as subtitles) was welcomed; however, the resulting elimination of parallel titles in search results displays was not. In the current iteration of Summon, which parallel title appears in the catalog is solely left to chance, and whichever appears first in a bibliographic record. However, if Summon can display all other title subfields and information in search results, including subfields B, N and P, it should include parallel title information as well. The lack of parallel titles is problematic for patron search and retrieval. For example, a patron searching…

Link to all full-text options from within Summon results, alongside 1-click
Given the new issues with framed resources and the sidebar, I'd like to suggest the option to add a link to all full-text sources for a given article directly within the Summon results. That way, even with the sidebar turned off, users can still find alternative sources of full-text if the "top" source from 1-click doesn't work as expected.

Westlaw UK (Thomson Reuters) - adding new indexing metadata
Westlaw UK is currently a 0 titles database in the Client Centre (Code AYDUG).
Can the metadata be acquired from the provider and added to the index?

Stop indexing Ebsco "abstract" results so they no longer appear in Summon "Full-Text" Results with broken links
One persistent problem we have between Summon and EBSCO is abstracts indexed as articles in Summon. Some journals index these abstracts as individual titles, which is why they get pulled into Summon as standalone full text articles, but EBSCO (which is where we have full text) does not index them at all. So not only does the openURL break, if you search for them in EBSCO you often get zero hits. Since we have so much full text in EBSCO, this accounts for a good many of our bad urls in Summon and it is frustrating and confusing for librarians…

Update Summon Citation Generator to Current Editions
The citation generator in Summon is not using the most current style guides. In particular, we are most concerned about APA, AMA, and MLA. We request that those are updated to the most current versions and the Knowledge Center article updated accordingly. Thanks!

Pin "Apply" button on the Facet (Summon mobile screen)
We have an improvement request about the mobile screen on the Facet of Summon.
Because the "Apply" button is fade out if the user scroll down to the bottom.
Not only this, but there are "Search" button where the "Apply" button supposed to be, and the user click "Search" instead of "Apply" unconsciously. As the result of this mis-clicking, the facet fails often, so we have a request to pin the "Apply" button on the screen even though the user scroll down to the bottom.
Please see the attachment as detail.

Use Seamless Access for authentication
Seamless Access is a new tool for Single sign-on authentication, this is how they describe it:
SeamlessAccess enables true Single Sign-On. Your users will be able to sign in using their preferred sign in credentials, and will not be bothered for them again for all SeamlessAccess-enabled sites.

Include "Research Guides" as one of the available Content Types in the advanced search.
This was prompted by Alan Cockerill's suggestion in the Summon mailing list for limiting search results to libraries LibGuides by using the "Research Guides" content type. It can be done via post-search faceting, but the advanced search form doesn't show "Research Guides" as a checkbox option for content types. It'd be nice to see that there.

Display all 5xx note fields as the default in Summon
Make display of all 5xx note fields the default in Summon in the Catalog Detail page, results screen and elsewhere. These fields already appear in Primo, with various labels (General note for 500, Language note for 546, Awards note for 586, Bibliography for 504, etc.). With these omitted from Summon, patrons are missing vital, helpful information from bibliographic records, such as: accessibility features for patrons with disabilities (532, 546); detailed language information--not just the languages themselves, but whether they’re for subtitles, described video, certain articles in anthologies, etc. (546); awards won for picture books, Academy Award winning movies, etc. (586);…

Display all 300 subfields as the default for all media
Make display of all subfields from the 300 physical description field the default in Summon for all types of materials, in the catalog detail screen, results screens, and elsewhere. Currently, Summon only displays 300 MARC physical description information for books in search results and catalog detail pages; and even for books, only subfield “a” (pagination) is included. This means that patrons can’t see information like: number of DVDs or CDs in a set; whether movies are in black-and-white or color; playing time of DVDs or CDs; any accompanying materials like booklets with DVDs or CDs in book-and-CD sets; types and…

Content Ingestion report - internal processing error
I think it would be useful if the record ID was included in this report so that we know which records are missing from summon.
At present this just seems like a black box; we have no idea what the problem is, how it is resolved and when/if it is resolved.3 votes -
Provide cloud storage with a login for saved items
It is confusing for the saved items to disappear. It would be great if users could log in to Summon to save their items.

Set up ‘search within’ functionality for ProQuest One Literature in Summon
Would it be possible to set up 'search within' functionality in Summon for the One Literature database? I understand that this is not currently possible at present so have been recommended to suggest this via the Ideas Exchange.

Refine RTA for Institutional Reporsitories
At present all results for our Institutional repositry have "Full Text Online" as the RTA text. However some of these are not full text at all, just records of book chapters/articles submitted by researchers. This gives a false impression to the end user that there is always full text. It is probably too difficult to create a mapping for all the permutations, but it would be a start to allow the records that belong to the Institutional repository have their own RTA text, such as "View in the Institutional Repository".
