Allow customisation of search profile for collections
When using collections the search scope cannot be changed or customised, for our Primo the search scope name is "MyInstitution".
This doesn't make it clear that the contents may be Alma Digital content only.
We were told via case 06725207 that in order for the collections lobby to display content we must use this search profile which at the time didn't include Alma Digital, we've changed the profile to now only be Alma Digital after testing with all content, lobby is now displaying content.
We'd like the ability to have a more appropriate code for the search profile that more accurately describes what it is.
Thanks

Display Multiple Links in View It for Newspaper Articles in Newspapers Search
The April/May 2022 releases introduced the ability to display multiple links (both Link in Record and Link Resolver) in CDI records in Primo VE and Primo. However, this functionality is not in place for newspaper article records in Newspapers Search results. Newspaper articles in the npsearch interface still display only a single link. We request that the same multiple link display functionality in Search be extended to Newspapers Search. It is very helpful to offer users the option of Link in Record or Link Resolver link, especially for newspaper article content where link reliability and metadata matching may vary greatly.

Fix the CDI's match and merge process
The CDI's match and merge rules/filters need to be adjusted to prevent multiple ISBNs/EISBNs/DOIs from previous e-book editions from being added to the current edition's record, which frequently breaks OpenURL linking to the correct edition. This particularly affects targets like OREILLYONLINELEARNINGACADEMICPUBLICLIBRARYEDITION in SFX.

Make both the label and the code from the controlled vocabulary registry searchable
When adding a controlled vocabulary to the registry and afterwards connecting it to a certain MARC field in Primo VE, patrons now can only search using the code and not the label.
As an example imagine a controlled vocabulary with the entry ECON (code) and Economy and Finance (label). If ECON (the code) is stored in the record and the patron searches for Economy and Finance in that field (in advanced filter), he or she will get no results. If you search for ECON however all relevant records will be returned.
Of course the patrons are not supposed to know these codes, thus rendering the use of controlled vocabularies in search scopes practically useless. When adding a controlled vocabulary to the registry and afterwards connecting it to a certain MARC field in Primo VE, patrons now can only search using the code and not the label.

Add editing functionality to labels/tags created in My Favorites
Currently, there is no way to edit a label created in My Favorites to organize items you have saved/Pinned to My Favorites. It would be helpful to be able to edit typos or make adjustments to the label as needed, without have to reassign items.

Show amount of records of a Discover Import Profile
In Alma it's not possible to use the adv search bar/jobs/analytics to list records from external data sources. We can see the records loaded in the History option of each profile execution. But to have a total, we would need to open one by one.
Could it be possible to have the amount of records and MMS IDs of each discovery import profile available to see?
For example, in the same menu list where we see the History, Reload and Delete, etc, add an option called: Total and when we click on it Alma searches for all records of the data source and displays the MMS ID.

Preference of links from link resolver over link in record in brief results for merged records
When one or more of the records in a merged group is coming from a collection using the link resolver, and other records are coming from collections using the link in the record, the link in record type of link is always displayed in the brief result list. It should be possible to choose to always display a link resolver type of link instead.

Sort Book Chapters in correct order when using PrimoVE in 'Everything' search
When using the ‘Everything’ search in PrimoVE you can't consistently sort book chapters into the correct order. Even when using the facets to filter and sort results, it still returns chapters in a variety of orders.
For example, searching for the following book and filtering by ‘Book Chapters’, refining the year to ‘2015’ and sorting by ‘Title’ still returned the chapters in the wrong order (see attached screenshot).
“Meeting Health Information Needs Outside of Healthcare” Kreps, Gary L.; Neuhauser, Linda (2015)
It may not be possible, due to the variety of way book chapters can be structured. However, if it is, we would like PrimoVE to be able to sort book chapters into the correct order (e.g. as it's published in the book) more consistently when using the ‘Everything’ search. This would greatly enhance the user experience.

Create search alerts for results obtained from selecting a "view sources citing this" link from an original article
Our users would like to be able to track when new citations are added to a list of sources derived from the "view sources citing this" feature.
They suggest this could be done by creating a search alert to advise them of the changes.

Banner - start and end date
We're using the banner to promote different library related events/workshops etc that run throughout the year. Currently we would have to manually enable and disable banners.
If there was something that allows us to determine how long the banner would display then it would make it easier, and not having to make sure a member of staff is available on certain days of the year just to switch on/off a banner.

add a link to the location section
We would like to be able to create an embedded link to the location section in PRIMO VE (please see image attached)
This embedded link would then be added to a libguide to provide real time information on the location of the item

Enable user personalization for their default "Expand my results" and "Search in full text" options
Currently, institutions set a default for "Expand my results" and "Search in full text." Users can toggle these settings, but unlike other filters, these toggles are not "sticky" and it does not seem possible to "lock" them. When the session is reset or the user selects "New Search", the institutional default is re-applied. The user who prefers other settings must therefore constantly re-toggle their desired options.
We find vastly different needs between our faculty, graduate students, professional practitioners, and undergraduates in their search behaviors and preferences. Currently, we have default settings designed for the least sophisticated searchers (undergraduates), but many of our more advanced users are expressing frustration with these settings. They would be much happier if they could use other settings by default. It would be a great help to them if "Expand My Results" and "Search in Full Text" could be added to Primo VE's personalization options for signed in users, like Results Per Page. The ability to set a preference in Personal Details and Settings, "lock" the toggles like the filters/facets, and/or have the system remember and retain the user's last selection could all be big improvements to the user experience and satisfaction.Currently, institutions set a default for "Expand my results" and "Search in full text." Include Citation type as a configurable field in Purchase request form
When a purchase request is made from Primo selected in Citation type: Book, the order line that is created is of type Physical-One time, and cannot be modified.
It would be nice to modify this default configuration.

Primo VE: Facet «Publication format» displays entries with capital letters and suppresses apostrophes
We noticed that the facet "Publication format" displays the entries with capital letters at the beginning of each word, and sometimes suppress the apostrophe too (see enclosures). This is a problem, because we never do display words in this manner in French or German. It really looks weird and we would like to avoid that for our users.
Thanks !

Resource type filter bar: after a search, terms with no hits should be inactive or a counter should be visible
The resource type filter bar under the search field will remind patrons of Google. Which is good, because they know how that works.
But: there is no indication in Primo VE that the filters are also visible and clickable if there are no hits behind them.
Please either add a counter (which would be consistent with the facets in the side column), or deactivate the terms that don't have hits, so that they are not clickable.
Clicking on something and landing on an empty page is frustrating.
-> Book chapters and Music scores have no hits, but the patrons only get to that information after clicking on the term.

More language options for Primo VE
It would be helpful if there were more supported languages added to the Alma/Primo VE platform in order to serve multiple demographics on campus.
We would specifically be looking for Hindu and Farsi. Thanks!

Can you please add the Landolt-Börnstein collection since it isn't available in SFX? Our library has the entire collection through Springer Materials. Thank you
