The number of default thumbnails of each tile on Primo Collection Lobby
If I do not define any image files, the system displays the first four images found in the collection's sub-collections and items. It looks much too complicated so it would be great if the institution can fix the number of default thumbnails in a tile(e.g. 4 -> 1), without defining an image file on Discovery tab or General tab.

Export a Primo Permalink from Alma to Results of an Alma Set
Analytics enables one to create some very advanced queries in Alma, but there's no way to share the Results with users in Primo. Being able to create a Primo permalink to the results of an Alma set would remedy that.

Make the login help link language sensitive
In Alma Configuration it is possible to define Login page help links for Primo VE and to translate the label to another language, but it is not possible to have separate URLs for help pages in different languages.
We would like the URL to be customizable per language the same way the label is.

Please apply userdefinedunicode_normalization.txt conversion to PCI records. It's essential to search CJK records.

Resource recommender
Currently there isn’t any option to order resources other than alphabetically for the resource recommender.
We have control over the order that the ‘Types’ of resources display by (e.g. Databases, People, Websites …), but as all of our resources are databases, we are limited to the default sort.
Would like more flexibility on this.

Browse by government document call number
Currently, we don't have the option of browsing call numbers in the 086 field in Primo VE. This is a problem for the many libraries who work with government documents and use government documents call number schemes. Being able to search for single call numbers doesn't help for tasks where you need a list ordered by call numbers (like taking inventory, weeding, and assigning new call numbers). Please add a government documents call number browse index.

Adjust number of results Collection Discovery
Collection Discovery pages are great but loading 10 at a time is not enough. Would like to see adjustable results dial similar to what was recently released in Alma. Perhaps even up to 100 results on a page would be sufficient.

Enable synonymisation in phrase searches
It is still the case in Primo that one version of a synonymised term proves searchable as a phrase search, but not both, despite both having been added to the local and/or hosted versions (delete where applicable) of the Primo synonym list.
E.g. “Versus” and “vs” have been added to the synonym list, but whilst a search for “Semantics versus pragmatics” returns results, a search for “Semantics vs pragmatics” returns none.
It needs to be appreciated that there will always be instances where performing a search without speechmarks for a search term that includes a synonym isn't practicable, in particular…

Separate Library selection and Personal Delivery Address in Getit pop-up
We have configured Alma so all Personal Delivery requests go to a central library. Need to modify Getit so patrons cannot select a Library and also enter a personal delivery address i.e. separate Library pickup from Personal Delivery.

My Library Card: Indicate number of loans at each library
Listed in the left margin of the My Library Card page in our multi-campus / multi-library environment are the names of each library from which a user has requested or borrowed an item. To save the user time in finding relevant, timely information, we'd like the number of items currently "in play" (on loan, requested, with associated fines, etc.) displayed next to each library in that list.

Improve and standardize the Dates folder in all the Primo Subject Areas
The following are available in the Dates folder for Primo Action Usage, Primo Device Usage, Primo Facet Usage, Primo Sessions, Primo Zero Search Results and Primo Pipes:
Year (date)
Year
Year (desc)
** all three are the same format: YYYY
** why are there three?Month (date)
Month (short desc)
** these two are the same format: Mon YYYY
** why are there two?
** shouldn't "Month (date)" really be Month (as in January, February, March, etc)?Month (long desc)
** uses the Month YYYY format.
** why?Month (number)
** displays as expectedWeek (date)
** uses Mon DD…

Show correct number of renewals in Primo and Aleph
In our testing Aleph, we set to allow unlimited number of renewals.
Item was already renewed for more than 9 times, the number of renewals shown in Aleph client and Primo were both stopped at 9.
We request Aleph and Primo to show the correct number of renewals.3 votes -
Data elements for Calculated Availability should be configurable
The Calculated Availability text is composed of Availability status + Library + location + call number .
We want to be able to configure what elements should display based on their value. For instance, we only want to display call numbers for items that are on open shelves (as determined by library and/or location value). For items in closed stacks, the call number is irrelevant to the users and only serves to clutter up the interface.18 votes -
Display item(s) cost in patron loan letters or My Account to show savings.
We'd like to be able to let patrons know how much money they saved by using the library as opposed to paying for books themselves. To do this, we'd like to be able to display item cost information (such as from the POL in Alma) for items loaned either in the Loan Letter or in the patron's account.

Drag/drop results facets
We would like to be able to let our users personalize their search experience by dragging and dropping results facets into different positions in the list. For example, our first facet is Show Only. If a user wanted to see Material Type or Publication Date first, they could simply drag one of those facets to the top of the list. Making those choices persistent through a session and/or through their own personal account would be even better.

Separate the resource type/facet "dissertations" for PCI (and CDI...) into "dissertations" and "theses"
Some institutional repositories available through PCI contain a lot of student theses. The resource type/facet "dissertations" contains both dissertations and theses. Users searching for doctoral dissertations and using the facet dissertations end up with a search result consisting of both dissertations and theses. It is not possible to see the difference in Primo. The user have to follow the full-text link to find out what kind of resource it is. This is time-consuming and sometimes misleading.

In Primo VE, in the Get It service in full record display
In Primo VE, in the Get It service in full record display add real-time availability summary, for example: (4 copies, 1 available, 0 requests) to the OTB top level display for each Location.
Currently, the user has to click on the Location to see availability information.
This development would bring VE in step with Primo.15 votes -
Access by IP-Ranges : add criteria in Primo Analytics
Primo Analytics should support IP ranges as a filter criteria in the usage reports. This will enhance our statistics, for instance:
- how much usage is generated by certain libraries?
- how many patrons use primo off-campus or via VPN?
- are there users not affiliated with the university?
- what is the percentage of usage generated by library staff?
- etc.
The IP ranges might be taken from the backoffice configuration
Primo Home > Ongoing Configuration Wizards > Institution Wizard > Edit IPsPlease support this idea as we think this will lead to a clearer picture of our Primo users.
