1. Please add a field (or change the Full Month fields) to have YYYY-MM format

   For all Full Month fields can you please change the format of the field so that they show as YYYY-MM (using 4 digits for the year and the 01 through 12 for the month) so that they can be ordered accordingly when used in prompted, etc. OR please add a new field that represents the Full Month field but in the YYYY-MM format. The current Full Month fields are literally useless.

   These would include but not limited to Due Full Month, Loan Full Month, Return Full Month, Renewal Date Fullmonth and Last Renewal Full Month fields in the Fulfillment subject area and Transaction Full Month and Creation Full Month fields in the Fines and Fees subject area and Borrowing Creation Full Month in the Borrowing Requests subject area and Lending Creation Full Month in the Lending Requests subject area and so on.

   I currently need it the most for the Loan Full Month in the Fulfillment subject area, the Borrowing Creation Full Month field in the Borrowing Creating subject area and Lending Creation Full Month field in the Lending Requests subject area. I am using Dashboard Prompts to filter some reports on dashboards and having such formatted field would make a big difference.

3. Provide sort order information for AVE (portfolio) fields in BIBs API

   When there are multiple portfolios from the same e-collection associated with the same bib record, the Alma Link Resolver (and Primo) displays them in the same order that they appear in Alma. When AVE (portfolio) information is retrieved using "expand=e_avail" in the BIBs API’s Retrieve Bib or Retrieve Bibs service, the AVE fields are returned in no particular order. AVE fields returned for a particular bib record should include an element giving the sort order of the portfolio within that e-collection, as it appears in Alma. This would allow custom discovery interfaces to display Online Access links in the order the library already specified in Alma, as is done in the Alma Link Resolver and Primo.

4. More Options for the "Pick Up Requested Resources" Window

   It would be great to have even mor configuration options for the pick up requested resources window. (See picture below)
   For example wenn picking up SIA norms, we would like to see such fields like the series number field (field 830) so we don't have to search on in the shelve for the exact norm.

5. SAML authentication for patrons for Resource Sharing

   Currently, when an article or book chapter that a patron requested for has been fulfilled through resource sharing in Alma, the patron receives a document delivery notification letter informing the patron to download the requested article or book chapter. The URL link for SAML authentication for patrons requires SAML to be configured for Alma in addition to Primo VE (See support case 06050447). As Alma is intended for only library staff to login to work, I think it is best not to expose Alma's URL to patrons. Hence, I think that all patron services should be authenticated through Primo VE including picking up for articles and book chapters delivered through resource sharing. And keep authentication for library staff to Alma separate from Primo VE. I have modified the XSL for the document delivery notification letter in Alma as a workaround.

7. Removing temporary location on circ - sometimes only

   When assigning a temporary location, I would like to be able to specify a conditions to remove from the temporary location when it circulates.

   For example:

   If an item has a temporary location of: Course Reserves, then the existing system works great - there's a pull request generated at the Due Back date and we scan them in and restore the permanent location - and one would NOT was the temporary location changed if circulated.

   But when the temporary location is New Book Shelf, I would like to have that temporary location removed when the book goes on loan. (now that we have automated checkout, there is no way for staff to intercept and restore the book before it is on loan to a patron, and it's too easily to accidentally return the book if you try to modify it while on loan)

   So I don't want to remove the option to keep things as they are. But I would like to add a toggle to the scan in workflow to have the temporary settings removed when the item circulates.

9. Add Address fields in filter search

   Under 'Contact', there are a few address fields where values are indexed. Besides the standard fields, it would be helpful to add the Addresses to the filter search to allow retrieval of results. 10. Fix the multi-page list display bug in Rialto

    There is a a bug in the Rialto list display function which I have encountered numerous times: When I go to the second (or later) page of a List in Rialto and take an action on one of the items such as moving it to a cart, the list is refreshed and redisplayed incorrectly. For example, with 30 items in a list, before the second page refreshes, it correctly displays items 21 through 30 in the list with the heading “21 through 30 of 40.” After refreshing, the header says “21 through 40 of 30”! Additionally, the book titles that are displayed and numbered 21 through 40 are in fact the first twenty titles (sorted newest first), not the last ten titles that it should be displaying. As a result when I want to select books from a list of more than ten items, choosing the oldest or cheapest books first, I have to exit the list entirely after each title that I add to my cart, and then navigate to the end of the list again.

11. Alma - Analytics allows to count usage statistics of full text downloads executed from the 2 download buttons visible in Primo.

    We have Primo VE, for the moment Alma does not record in Analytics the downloads made from the PDF viewer. Analytics only counts downloads when using the download button outside the Primo viewer (top right).

    It is required to have real statistics of downloads of digital objects, from the 2 operational buttons in Primo, i.e. the button located inside the PDF viewer and the one located outside the PDF viewer, since it is not possible to know which of the buttons the user will use.

12. Use user data in general electronic services

    Currently in a general electronic service we can pass bibliographic metadata via openurl format through to the target webpage. It would be useful to also pass through user data. The "Adding a General Electronic Service" section in the Online Help mentions a requester (req.) category of attributes but these don't seem to be used at the moment.

    Passing through the requester's name, email address, etc would allow us to auto-populate an external form (eg interloans, purchase suggestion forms, etc) and save the user time / potential typing errors.

13. Create an "Ideas Meta" category for ideas on the tool itself

    As an ExLibris customer, I would like a channel were I can submit my ideas on how the Idea Exchange tool could be improved, so that the tool can evolve for maximum benefit for both ExLibris and customers.

    See Meta Stack Overflow as an example.

    Currently I don't know an obvious place where I could submit this idea, which is why it ended up in Alma - Other ... The idea about a meta category thus exemplifies the need expressed in the idea itself. How meta is that? ;-)

14. Enable institutions to set a maximum daily API call limit per application

    As customers to the Alma and Primo APIs we are bound by the limits of our maximum number of calls per day. Some of our applications make up the majority of our API calls, for example, those from our student portal which call on Alma every time a student logs in.

    To help us avoid hitting our daily API limit it would be useful for us to be able to set our own maximum call limit per application. So for example, we could set the limit for calls from the staff portal to a lower figure than of the student portal to prioritise the calls from the student system.

15. Identification of Reply vs Response in Communication tab of POL

    It would be useful to be able to easily identify a Reply vs a Response when looking at all of the 'Answers' associated with a Communication in a POL. Perhaps an arrow could indicate which direction the communication occurred ? e.g. an arrow pointing to the left ('out') if it is a Reply from us to the vendor, or an arrow pointing to the right ('in') if it is a Response from the vendor. 16. Trials - table & report for Purchase Decision field

    For the Purchase Decision field in a Trial we would like to have -
    1/ Ability to add new Purchase Decisions via a table similar to other areas of Alma. At the moment only options are Yes or No
    2/ Be able to run a report (or filter) on this field so we can take to collection development meetings if Purchase Decision was, for example, Future Purchase

17. Index 049 field.

    We tie the OCLC holding library in the 049 closely to our Alma holding locations. Searching the text in the 049 field as keyword is quicker than an advanced search. If the idea below to allow free text searching of all MARC fields and subfields is implemented it would cover this request.

18. Add "Reading List description" field to Course Reserves and Leganto Instructor Usage/Leganto Student Usage Subject Areas

    It would make sense to add the Reading List Description field to Analytics as it is information which is available but missing from the Course Reserves Subject Area, and the Leganto Subject Areas which contain Reading list information. Without this information you cannot really reproduce a list from its constituent data.
    NB this is really a Leganto issue as much as anything, but the impact is felt in Analytics.

    The Acquisitions tab does not have an indication that there is information on it (dog-eared) like the other tabs. Could this be updated so that this tab accurately reflects when there is additional information on it like the other tabs?
