Adjust the Analytics report generation time to include events occurring after 8 PM.
Currently, the Analytics report is generated around 8 PM Taiwan time, which is earlier than the library's closing time. As a result, events that occur after 8 PM are not included in the statistics for the following day. This prevents the library from obtaining complete statistics for the previous day. If the report generation time could be delayed by at least 2 hours, it would be very helpful for Taiwan users.
141 votesWe appreciate your feedback on how ETL timing impacts your workflows and the request to adjust the ETL processing time from 20:00 to 22:00.
Given that there are institutions in various time zones, delaying the ETL time by two hours would have a broader impact across other libraries.
We carefully evaluated the potential effects and risks of this change and decided to continue with the current schedule of the ETL process.
We are closing this idea so that you will be able to use your votes for other enhancements you would like to promote.

Recommendations for Improving User Search and Batch Update Functionality
Currently, primary identifier and identifier searches only support the "equals" operator. It is recommended to enhance flexibility by adding options such as "contains" or advanced search functionalities, including the ability to search without a primary identifier, to better support user management.
Batch processes cannot batch update user notes or perform text replacements. It is recommended that a batch update feature be provided for these functions.
120 votesIdentifiers are managed in the database under strict security, to protect personal identifying information. Therefore, this information cannot be searched with partial information.

Add a job for adding Repository search labels
please create a job to add Repository search labels for titles and holdings based on a set. This would be a convenient solution for managing large numbers of records in the new UI and the addition to bulk labeling.

Developer Network master NZ account that can access/support each member IZ
This is an idea to improve the infrastructure of the Developer Network for consortia central offices.
Consider the case of support staff in the central office of a consortia. When using the Ex Libris Support Center, we are able to view open cases from across our consortia members and update them, assist them, etc as necessary, using our central consortia "master accounts"
Unfortunately, in the Developer Network, we have a central account, but it is only connected to our Network Zone for managing API keys, seeing API usage, and managing users. If we want to be able to support all…
51 votesAfter a thorough analysis of your request, we regret to inform you that, due to technical constraints within our current system architecture, we are unable to provide a solution that would allow a central NZ API account with the "user manager" role to also manage member IZ accounts directly.
While we understand this may not be the desired outcome, the existing method you are utilizing—creating separate accounts for each Institution Zone and using the "+IZName" email convention—remains the only feasible approach at this time. We recognize the limitations of this workaround, particularly concerning multi-factor authentication and administrative overhead, and we truly empathize with the challenges it presents.
We remain committed to enhancing our systems and will continue to evaluate possibilities for improving consortia support in the future. Your feedback is invaluable, and we encourage you to share any additional ideas or concerns you may have.
Thank you again for your…

Use same format for all dates in Analytics
When combining different subject areas (I use the button “Combine results based on union, intersection, and difference operations”, and I am using union) I find that it is not always possible to combine dates.
For example: The date "Event Start Date"."Event Start Time" from Physical Items Historical Events cannot be combined with "Loan Date"."Loan Date" from Fulfillment.
This is due to differences in date formats.
It's hard to predict which parts of Analytics a library would want to combine. So I suggest that the date formats be standardised across Analytics0 votesDear all,
Thank you for submitting your idea.
As it has not gained the traction we typically look for to move forward, it is unlikely to be implemented in the foreseeable future.
That said, your feedback remains valuable, and we will continue to keep it in mind as our roadmap evolves.

Add barcode to Managed Deleted Repository report
It would be very helpful if the Managed Deleted Repository Report could include the barcode of the item that was withdrawn. We were recently working on an inventory project, compiling a spreadsheet with barcodes. Some items were withdrawn, but we had them in our barcode spreadsheet and needed to delete them. We thought that the Managed Deleted Repository Report would help us identify them, but the barcode wasn't in the report.

Adding Facets to Alma's internal All Titles, Physical Titles, and Physical Items searches
Currently, a search within Alma allows for a limited number of facets to filter a user's search when searching "All Titles", "Physical Titles", and "Physical Items". These only include the following facets: "Material Type", "Resource Type", "Language", and "Publication Year."
In contrast, Primo VE's public search has many more configurable options that include "Location", "Creation Date", "Collection", "Availability/Peer Review", etc. It seems odd that Alma would be unable to also use some of these options since they're configured within Alma. At the very least, having "Location" added as a facet would be helpful for seeing where items are in a…

Show folder and column details in filters in alma analytics where multiple columns have identical names.
When creating a repost in Alma there are certain subject areas (e.g Physical Items) where a column name is identical across multiple folders.
For example:
Material Type (Physical Item Details)
Material Type (Bibliographic Details)
Material Type (PO Line)when viewed in "Create" view in Alma you can see the folder headings above the column headings and there identify which is which.
However when used as filters, only the column heading is displayed - therefore it is impossible to identify which is which without clicking into each filter and looking for Column Formula to see which folder it comes from.Snip…
81 votesDear Colleagues,
Thank you for your feedback and for sharing your concerns regarding the suggested workaround.
There is a solution, though it not be user-friendly for those unfamiliar with SQL.
We appreciate the importance of making our tools as accessible as possible, however, implementing the requested change would require significant time and resources. This would divert our focus from other critical features that could provide greater overall benefits to our user base.
We value your input and are committed to continuously improving our services.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support.

Notify users of minor changes to complete tasks in Alma
Notify users of minor changes to complete tasks in Alma - some of us are support staff following a checklist of instructions - for example - re-linking an item to a new bibliographic record seems to have changed slightly - finding the MMS ID in the NZ - and selecting the holdings to link to - I am very open to Ex Libris feedback on my ideas - you could have a special section for minor changes to keep them separate from major changes - thank you

Publishing to OCLC: Enrich LHRs Using OCN Instead of MMS ID for Unchanged/Deleted Holdings
OCLC processes incoming Local Holding Records (LHRs) by applying a 'replace all' mechanism. If WorldCat has three holding records for an OCN and the library sends just one holding record, WorldCat will replace the three existing holdings with the single incoming holding. This is documented here: https://help-nl.oclc.org/Metadata_Services/WorldShare_Collection_Manager/Data_sync_collections/Create_an_ongoing_data_sync_collection/Local_holdings_records_collection/30MARC_21_Format_for_Holdings_Data_and_OCLC_local_holdings_records
Currently, Alma's LHR publishing job for OCLC takes this into account by enriching the publishing of modified holdings with unmodified/deleted holdings that belong to the same bibliographic record. According to the Alma documentation: "Note also that when a holdings record is updated, it is republished together with all the holdings records linked to…

End date confusion
Inconsistent formatting of dates in different places in Alma leads to confusion. Dates in coverage statements are fomatted mm/dd/yyyy but dates in other places, such as 'Creation date' or 'Modification date' are sometimes formatted dd/mm/yyyy. Ex Libris should start using a standard and consistent date format, namely, the ISO 8601 Date and time format, YYYY-MM-DD, see https://www.iso.org/iso-8601-date-and-time-format.html

MDE expand from template CZ records
Alma currently doesn't have the ability to "expand from template" for Community records. The option will enable MDE users to use a template to apply multiple local extension fields to CZ records, minimizing the unintentional error of changing the CZ records for everyone.

Add option to batch edit 852 $k and $m in Holdings through the Change Holdings Information Job
Would love to see the option in the Change Holdings Information Job to be able to apply/remove/change a shared call number prefix or suffix on a set of records. This would greatly improve the efficiency of metadata management for collections of physical items.

Change "Permanent Call Number Starts With" search to search the class number only
Currently, searching for "Permanent Call Number Starts With" will search the beginning of the classification number (852$h) AND the beginning of the cutter number (852$i). Ideally, this should search for the beginning of the classification number only. When I search for a Permanent Call Number Starts With K, I expect to see a listing of materials on law, not every film whose title starts with K.
Alternatively, creating a separate index for the classification number (852$h) and cutter number (852$i) would allow users to do separate searches for classification numbers and cutter numbers.

Separate AutoHoldings collection for Taylor & Francis eBooks
I would like to propose the creation of a separate AutoHoldings collection specifically for Taylor & Francis eBooks. At present, the AutoHoldings job is being managed within the "Taylor & Francis eBooks Complete Collection" (Community Zone Electronic Collection ID: 611000000000000660).
The absence of a distinct AutoHoldings collection for Taylor & Francis eBooks presents challenges in terms of effectively managing and tracking our holdings. A dedicated collection would greatly enhance our ability to maintain accurate records and streamline workflows.
We've noticed that other publishers, such as SpringerLink and Wiley Online Library, have separate AutoHoldings collections, including:
SpringerLink Books - AutoHoldings
Wiley…11 votesHello,
For newer integrations, we will create new autoholdings dedicated collections.
However, this integration has already been deployed long ago, so any change will cause issues to customers who use it.
Therefore, after consulting Alma ERM, we will not be making this change.
Kind regards,
Tamar

Add privilege to perform "Browse shelf listing" to physical inventory roles
When a user has the "Physical Inventory Operator" but no "Cataloger" role he/she can perform browse search in bibliographical and authority data but can NOT select "Browse shelf listing" - which is what one would expect.
It would be helpful for staff not working in the area of cataloging to be able to do call number browse search. There are several use cases:
.) Browse search can be very useful to look up complex call numbers of multi-volume works that are published in volumes and are further subdivided into sections. By looking at the index you can sometimes get a…16 votesHello all,

Display Number of Records in Set Information Section
It would be extremely beneficial to have the ability to view the number of records in a set directly within the Set Information Section, without the need to click through to the content.
Specifically, adding a line such as “Number of Records: ####” in the Set Information Section would streamline the process of sorting through sets. For example, when managing multiple sets of items for withdrawal, it would allow me (or my students) to quickly ascertain the number of remaining items without the need to navigate into each set, view the content, and then return to the previous screen.

Add MMS to title list search options in Collection Resource Editor
When searching the list of titles assigned to a collection, users can only search by title or publisher. It would be helpful if there was also the option to search by MMS ID since this allows for more precise retrieval. See screenshot: https://app.screencast.com/sCZbTHJ39CcHE

New institutional number sequence, or reset Additional ID, to shorten hold shelf pickup number
In the April 2019 RN the feature "Additional ID for Hold Request Management" became available and it has been very useful for our library, especially since we have an open hold shelf and need anonymized hold shelf slips. By the end of 2022 we noticed that the number sequence wasn't reset when it reached 999-999-999 like we expected it to. Instead new numbers are added and we've been told that it will just continue to add new numbers and never reset. Very long serial numbers are not user-friendly, neither for the staff, nor for the patron.
To prevent long numbers,…

Delete Bibliographic Records Job should be able to be restricted to the different Related Record Types
The "Delete Bibliographic Records" job can be executed with "Do not delete if related to other records", but the parameter takes into account any Related Record Type to other bib records. We think it would be a great improvement if "Do not delete if related to other records" could be used to optionally select the exact Related Record Types that should be used for running the job. This selection would be very similar to the functionality for consortia "Restrict Deletion of Network Zone Bibliographic Records with Related Records " with Configuration > Resources > Collection Retention > Bibliographic Record Deletion…
