Update exchange rates more often
The exchange rates for foreign currency invoices are not updated very often. I understand that the Alma network team manually update them weekly or less often. It would be better for consistent financial reporting if the exchange rates were linked to an international standard or at least give libraries the ability to update the exchange rates manually every day themselves. The out-of-date exchange rates are causing massive reconciliation headaches with the Finance department as we try to work out how many thousands of dollars are out of synch. Anonymize resource sharing requests when rejected by last partner in rota
A borrowing request that is rejected by partner is considered as a completed resource sharing request, and therefore is included in the anonymization job that deletes user information in a RS requests (Fulfillment job > Anonymize resource sharing requests). This causes several problems for how the BIBSYS Consortium handles resource sharing:

Display Logic To Hide Resource Sharing Options When No Lendable Copy Available
Currently, resource sharing links for consortia perform a lookup to determine if copies are held, but this lookup does not take into consideration whether the copies are actually lendable in the resource sharing system (e.g., if all of the copies held in the consortia are on reserve, or if they are in special collections that don't lend to other members of the consortia). These copies show up as available, resulting in the user placing a resource sharing request that gets immediately cancelled, which causes significant user confusion. Add a copy (bcc) to the library when cancel request
When a cancellation is made, a message is sent to the user notifying them, but a copy of this message does not reach any of the libraries involved. I suggest adding a BCC for the library.

It is possible to send system emails with blind carbon copies (BCC) for any preconfigured email address. All letter tables will contain the new field, bcc_address. This can be used to send copies of letters to the relevant library’s email address.

Toggle cancelled lending requests in a "terminated" status
Cancelled and rejected lending requests stay "active". This creates a lot of noise in the list of active lending requests.

Emailing patrons straight from their patron record
From the patrons contact information: It would be great to be able to send emails straight from their account. (Click on email and have it open in outlook.) This would alleviate have to copy and paste into a seperate account.

The use of Edge is growing and should be considered a major browser, and therefore supported.3 votes -
Import internal patrons from a spreadsheet
Bulk import internal patrons from a spreadsheet.
We have high school students in our campus that are not yet taking college courses, but do use our library to check out materials. Every Fall semester we will be manually adding this students into Alma. It would be helpful to import these students in bulk.

Option to rank order in which manual jobs run
We have had issues with small activation jobs (15 portfolios) having to wait and wait and wait while large jobs (60,000 portfolios) run very slowly. These small jobs could run very quickly if the large job were paused and the small jobs done first. Could an option be created to allow customers to choose to prioritize small jobs over large instead of prioritizing whichever job was queued first?

Alma automatically logs off too frequently for our busy front desk. Would like a way to stay logged on for our entire shift.
If there is a way to set the frequency of Alma automatically logging us off, we have not discovered it. We have a busy front desk and are using Alma for student fulfillment duties for up to 10 hours per day. Many times we turn back to the computer to complete a transaction only to find that we have been logged off and need to log back into Alma.

Fines/Fees API needs a PUT option to allow us to change the status of the loan
We have several fines/fees that have been paid or waived that are still in ACTIVE status. We would like to be able to change the status, either in Alma (one at a time) or with the API so that we could change multiple transactions.

Add 'accessed IP' data on the FERPA Report
According to guidelines in Korea, we have to check accessing user id's IP address when the user access the Alma and view some users' information. However, there is no IP address field on the subject area 'Event' of Alma analytics (https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Alma/Product_Documentation/010Alma_Online_Help_(English)/080Analytics/Alma_Analytics_Subject_Areas/Events). Please add the IP address field ASAP.

Calendar Details Accessible to Circulation Desk Managers
To configure a library calendar (Adding/Editing Calendar Details), one must have the Fulfillment Administrator or the General System Administrator role. Those roles are often given to very few people within an institution.
Modifying the calendar details of an institution or library and configuring the hours during which the institution/library is open or closed must be done on a regular basis. We find it would be much easier if the "Calendar management" tab could also be edited by Circulation Desk Managers, and not only by Administrators. Overdue block equals to the number of total overdue days of all book
In Alma, we have overdue block for users who overdue books since 2015 November release. But, I need more option for overdue block: overdue block should be "ACCUMULATED". I want to create overdue block which is same to the number of total late days of all overdue book.
For example, when a user returns items, and if the user has two overdue items - one is 5 days overdue. and the other 10 days overdue.
The user will be blocked from loaning forward for 15 days. After 15 days, he/she will be automatically released.

Truncate titles, etc. when searching
Truncated searching would save a lot of keystokes. It would also save a lot of typing when you misspelled something and then have to retype the entire title again. Typing in the exact title when it may be very long or a little bit different from what you remember takes a lot of time. Allowing for a wildcard would allow better searching for plurals, different endings, etc.

Anonymize loans and request older than X
Hi there,
We need to access the recent history of patron loans and requests. For example, when a patron returns an item and there is damage found afterwards or something is missing, we contact the last patron to know what happened.
This way we can resolve about 80% of such cases.But by law, we are bound to anonymize loans and requests older than a year. We don't have this possibility in Alma.
It would be great to add a parameter in the configuration interface in order to anonymize all loans or requests completed before [date].
2 votesPlease note the ‘Loan Anonymization Rules’ configuration option, found under the Fulfillment Configuration. This option allows to set under what conditions loans will be anonymized, including the ‘Days Since Loan Ended’ or the ‘Number of Loans to Retain’.
These rules are especially required for loans, in order to be able to retain history information that is required for inventory management, for example if item is lost ordamaged. The rules are less of an issue for requests history.

Keyboard shortcut to suppress a record in MD Editor
Much like the keyboard shortcuts for saving and/or releasing a record, a shortcut to suppress (if unsuppressed) a record would be very helpful. A different shortcut to unsuppress would be useful too.

Could there be a system alert when you mistakenly record a loan while it is already registered on another patroon account ?
We want to confirm when we record a loan to a patron while the item is already on loan on another patron account.
